"Lovely small hotel in the small walled city of Bale. Very good breakfast buffet & excellent attached 5 star restaurant. Excellent service.
For North American travellers, there is no elevator so you may want to transfer your travel items into a smaller carry-on.
For the hotel, please add an in room kettle. As a traveller, sometimes you need to make yourself an herbal tea or an early morning coffee. Also, please have 100% overhead coverage of the areas connecting the buildings. It rained during...

"Very pleasant, old-fashioned hotel in a historic area of Pula. Ideal location, within walking distance of the amphitheatre and the bus station, with easy access to other cities in Istria."

"Location was ideal and close to restaurants, bars and the marina. Communication and response time were excellent.
My only concern was the quality of the mattress in my room. As a light sleeper, having a bumpy, soft mattress was not ideal. This property is otherwise recommended."

"Very cute apartment over 3 floors with a small but fully stocked kitchen. Good air con on top 2 floors. Short steep walk (7 mins) to the top of motovun. You check in at a restaurant up the hill and one of the staff then takes you to the apartment. Free parking nearby. Only real negatives were the shower cubicle which was way too small and quite a few mozzies in the evening when drinking wine on the terrace…"

"Fint ställe, rummet var vackert och frukosten var väldigt bra. Lite obekväma kuddar och inte så rent runt och i poolen men annars väldigt bra! Rekommenderas för de som vill ut på landsbygden och bo lite avsiktligt, ligger nära vindistrikten."

A recently renovated villa. It offers good service and an excellent restaurant. There is a free car park and it is a short uphill walk to the splendours of Labin's old town. There is some traffic noise from the neighbouring road.

Beautiful property, the decor is modern and it felt new. The rooms are spacious and the views are incredible. I found the staff to be genuinely lovely, they take time to say hello and check in with you as you enter or leave the hotel.
The breakfast menu has good variety and it eating it out on the terrace with the gorgeous view just gave me the holiday vibe!
The only downside for me is that for the price I paid, I would expect an onsite gym and an iron in my room. I appreciated the fact we could...

We stayed at Monumenti Hotel Pula and it was honestly the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The staff took care of us from the moment we arrived and made everything feel effortless.
It was my 25th birthday during our stay, and they went above and beyond to make it feel extra special, such a thoughtful touch that meant a lot.
Beautiful hotel, amazing service, and a team who genuinely care.
Would highly recommend.

The hotel is unbelievably stunning. Every person we saw walking past the entrance looked in at the immaculate decor and architecture. The staff went above and beyond at every opportunity. Unknown to the staff I had a family bereavement the day before my stay (and 30th birthday) and I was quite emotional travelling to the hotel. Every member of staff wished me happy birthday (which I really wasn’t expecting) and did everything to make my stay as perfect as possible, I couldn’t believe the...

Excellent hotel in a stunning location with great views and a lovely infinity pool. Room was much larger than expected and had a very unique design. Food was lovely, breakfast had lots of options but all were done to a very high quality. Staff were all very welcoming and friendly. Many of the Roxanich wines on sale by the glass in the bar which were very reasonably priced. Would love to return at some point!

Great campsite with lots of amenities. Beach area was good (but rocky). Restaurant was good. Apartment was very good. Nice vibe and very safe environment. 15 minute walk (or a tourist train) to Vrsar which is a lovely town.

We spent 2 nights here before flying home from Pula Airport after a holiday exploring Croatia and Slovenia. It's a small hotel with only about 10 rooms, situated in a quiet residential area outside Pula. Staff are delightful - very friendly and helpful. Apartment was perfect for our needs. We spent a day exploring Pula and then walked along the paved walkway by the coast from near the apartment to Fazana.

Very well appointed apartment in a great location. Really enjoyed the outdoor patio also, extending the overall living space. Everything worked well and Avior team were very responsive.

Beautiful Hotel within lovely grounds, peaceful and relaxing. Staff were all professional, smiley and helpful, cannot fault them. No fighting for space by the pool or the lawned area with plenty of space around you. Bike hire was great way to get out to explore. Rovinji town was so beautiful to look at, lovely places to eat & drink, something going on in the Piazza every night. Lovely harbour. The whole place is so clean you feel you could eat straight off the floor! Very safe place too.

We had a fantastic stay, all the staff were most helpful. Room was a good size with all the amenities you would find in a bigger establishment. Breakfast was plentiful and Anita could not do enough for us. I would recommend staying here and would stay again if visiting Pula another time.

The best area to stay in Ferlini is the tranquil countryside surrounding the village, particularly for those seeking a peaceful retreat.
This area is characterised by its rolling hills, olive groves, and vineyards, offering a genuinely rural Istrian experience. Accommodation here often includes beautifully restored stone villas or charming farmhouses, many with private pools and expansive gardens. You'll find yourself surrounded by nature, with small, winding roads connecting you to nearby villages and towns.
Couples looking for a romantic escape will find this setting ideal. The privacy and quietness of the countryside villas provide a superb backdrop for relaxation. You can enjoy long walks through the olive groves, savour local wines on your terrace, or simply unwind by a private pool, all while being a short drive from Ferlini's local eateries.
Families will also appreciate the space and amenities offered by the villas in this area. Children have plenty of room to play outdoors, and many properties are equipped with facilities like swimming pools and outdoor dining areas, making it easy to enjoy meals together.
When is the best time to go to Ferlini?
The best time to visit Ferlini is during the late spring (May to early June) or early autumn (September to early October) to enjoy pleasant weather and fewer crowds.
During late spring, the countryside is verdant, and the temperatures are comfortably warm, typically ranging from 20-25°C. This period is ideal for exploring the natural beauty of Istria, such as cycling through olive groves and vineyards, or enjoying coastal walks without the intense summer heat. It's also a wonderful time for couples seeking a peaceful escape before the peak tourist season.
Early autumn offers similarly agreeable weather, with temperatures often between 20-24°C, and the sea is still warm enough for swimming. This season is superb for food and wine enthusiasts, as it coincides with the grape harvest and truffle season. Many local eateries offer seasonal menus, and you can participate in wine tastings or truffle hunting excursions. Families might also find this a good time to visit, as the summer crowds have thinned, but attractions are still fully operational.
While the peak summer months of July and August are popular, they bring higher temperatures and larger crowds, particularly in coastal areas.
