This was a beautiful stay and the service was second to none. They offered room calls for the Aurora Borealis and they had dining options on site. They also had shoe drying racks (for a fee). The only draw back was that it was more expensive than the other hotels we booked. However, the food was the best we have had in Iceland thus far so it was worth it. Spa amenities were also very lovely.

Awesome property! We are vegetarian unfortunately there are not many options except for Hammus. But over all I will say it is very nice hotel and highly recommended it.

Super nice hotel! The room was great, restaurant was delicious, and they have a spa & gym. Didn’t get to see northern lights because it was cloudy but great spot to see them in clear weather as it’s dark and far out - and they have a wake up service to call you if the lights are out so you don’t have to watch!

A beautiful hotel, stunning to drive up to and as stunning inside. There is waterfall close by to hike to. Perfect spot to rest before or after seeing Diamond Beach and area.

Fantastic hotel!! We stayed two nights in February 2024. It’s very remote so we stayed to have dinner both nights and the food was wonderful! We drove to Black Diamond Beach in Höfn, just 25 minutes up the road. That’s also base camp for many glacier hike tours, which we also did. As a bonus there’s a waterfall next door that’s stunning and a great thing to check out. By the bar there’s several seating options so we had drinks and hung out there at night. Views of the ocean are stunning. Quite remote and they have a Northern Lights wake up call option. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate for that. Finally, we used the laundry service and now I need someone to wash my clothes every night and bring them back folded..lol. Worth the money they charge for the service! We absolutely loved this hotel. (4 stars for “around the property” since there’s nothing really close by. A gas station and cafe 5 mins away, but otherwise drive 20-30 mins in either direction for other options)

We were stuck in a snow storm and only arrived slightly before 3am in the morning. Thank god they have 24/7 front desk to check us in, else we will have to sleep in the car in freezing weather. The housekeeping staff are extremely friendly.

We stayed in Iceland for a winter vacation & encountered arctic storms and blizzard conditions - which we expected. Comfortable accommodations were important to us given our adventurous trip and outdoor activities. Iceland is an amazing place with incredible customer service and friendliness. This hotel was incredible, amazing food, highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at Foss Hotel and really loved the outdoor hot tubs and heated floors. I also really appreciated having a fan available in the room to help with the heat. Our only concern was the parking lot being covered in a sheet of ice - it made it hard to get to the front door without crampons on.

This was the perfect hotel to have a relaxed breakfast in the morning before driving five hours to our final location in Reykjavik. (This was our 2nd Hotel stay of our adventure) They provided all necessary toiletries, amenities, etc. I only mention this because not all hotels did. The layout is perfect. There was also an adorable window seat, facing the ocean. The entire hotel sat across from the ocean and had a waterfall right on the property. Although across from the ocean, be mindful that it is across the highway and a short walk on black sand to get there. Parking is free, but breakfast was NOT included. It was $21.82 per person. Breakfast was a good size as it relates to selection. And it matched the price. We wanted to eat at the restaurant the night before, so we peeked in the restaurant to see the actual dishes. Based on the very tiny portion sizes and inflated prices, I can not recommend eating at the restaurant in the hotel. This is the only reason why I gave 4 stars vs. 5. Life is a gift. Great location for visiting Glacier Lake
Hotel is in a very good location - about 25 mins drive from the Glacier Lake. We stayed for 1 night in January 2024. Hotel restaurant has lots of choice for breakfast. There is nowhere else to go to eat in the area for dinner but the restaurant at dinner is also excellent - very tasty and excellent service. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy I would stay again.

One of the best hotels
This hotel is very clean, very well maintained, everything shiny. The beds are comfortable. My room is cleaned daily. Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel restaurant offers high quality dinners. Breakfast buffet is fabulous. The hotel offers wakeup alarms for northern lights. Simply tell the front desk to wake you up to see northern lights when they appear. I stayed there for 4 nights, and I saw northern lights two nights.
