About this property
Old Farm Land by Willamette River Oak Trees Bike Path Shopping Restaurants
The Grand Marion is our newly renovated main home in South River Road area which shares the large, private .27 acre property with The Marion, our sister guest house. It's in a quiet residential area with a new elementary school behind the home. The Grand Marion is most comfortable for families, friends & business travelers. Parking is available in the carport and next to The Marion at the end of the driveway. The concealed 2 bedroom, 1 bath home faces south and is set far back from the road, sheltered by oak trees. Entry to the house is through the carport. The dining area with a bar along the front windows and a table along the north wall seat 8. The attached kitchen is fully stocked with everything you will need for cooking and entertaining, plus you will find non perishables and milk, juice, etc. in the fridge. There is an open pantry area across from a utility closet which then leads to a hallway connecting the master bedroom, washer, dryer, bathroom, and eventually the living room. The master has a 14 inch Sealy Posturepedic king (which is between soft and firm) on the north wall, floating side tables with lamps, USB ports and a sitting area. The very large floor to ceiling closets hold all the bedding needs for all provided sleeping scenarios. A dresser is located between the two closets. The full bath offers lots of room, bright light, storage and a window on the north wall. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed on the west wall, floating side tables with lamps, a sitting area, smaller open closet and several shelves above on the south wall. The living room offers 2 queen futons that could sleep 4 and a twin futon which sits on the north wall - this spot is perfect for kids. Side tables sit beside the queen futons and have outlets plus USB ports. A desk and bench sit by the floor to ceiling windows which offer abundance light and beauty of the outside. The smart TV has Roku and the Lopi wood stove is for decorative purposes only at this time. The outdoor areas offer many paved paths, a patio with seating, lots of rock and grass plus many oak trees, a red bud tree and other various plants, shrubs and trees. The driveway is semi long and parking spots may be in the carport or along the west side of the property. 2 or 3 vehicles, depending on size should fit well in the designated spaces.

Great house and yard. Clean, nicely decorated, lots of indoor space. Close to Willamette River bikeways that take you into town. Enjoyed our daily commutes to Hayward Field to watch USATF US Championship.
We spent 12 nights here and look forward to coming back in the future. Anna has supplied so many extras from condiments to cooking utensils, to dishes, to linens and more. The location was excellent for biking and swimming at the River Road pool and attending Oregon Festival of American Music at The Shedd, downtown. Our thanks to Anna for making the comfortable, relaxing home available.
Perfect Location for Family competing at Oregon Track Stadium
We had a great experience with the house just 10 minutes away from Hayward Field and 5 minutes away from everything. We comfortably slept 7 people with the benefit of the kitchen to feed our family for a week. Our kids played outside the entire week especially on the tree swing! Wonderful value for an area that hosts so many track events.
Here for a family emergency and our hosts were such a blessing during a difficult time. I highly recommend this property and if we are ever back in the area we will be looking to stay with them again.
