It does have a good grocery store nearby (CarreFour). The hotel is very nice, the room was nicely decorated and clean. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, he allowed us to check in early when we arrived from the train station, as they had a room available. Breakfast was very good with a good selection. Would recommend!" Our room even had a view of St Peter’s basilica which was beautiful at sunset. When we return to Rome we’d happily choose Mama Shelter again. The pizzeria was excellent (service not superb in there but pizza was great). There are some great food options around the area, we ate a typical Roman breakfast opposite Cipro Metro station. There’s a Carrefour (make sure you get a discount card as this can save you a fair bit), and Cococ was excellent a few strides out of the door, for a breakfast also (they do evening meals there).
