Unique A-Frame! Just 1.5 mi to Estes & RMNP entrance
City of Estes Park Registration 3033. Actual address is 2415 Wild Bear Way, Estes Park.
Why stay in the same old cabin or condo when you can stay in our beautiful, clean and unique A-Frame surrounded by trees and abundant with wildlife.
The location of this home is perfect for your Estes vacation. It is located in a very quiet collection of a few cabins about a 15 minute hike into Rocky Mountain National Park or the YMCA property and a 1.5 mile drive to Downtown or the Beaver Meadows entrance into RMNP.
You will have a marvelous Rocky Mountain vacation in this clean, quiet, fully appointed vacation home. We have two bedrooms upstairs. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a balcony where you can hear the Big Thompson River through the trees. The second bedroom has a full size bed. Downstairs is tastefully decorated with cabin style furniture with a pull-out queen and pull-out twin bed. Downstairs is great for kids to sleep in while the grown-ups sleep quietly upstairs.
We have a newer remodeled full kitchen w/ gas stove, dishwasher and microwave, plenty of plates as well as pots and pans. We also have a full sized washer and dryer too.
You can relax and read a book by the wood-burning stove, watch DVD's on the TV (we have a large selection of DVD's stocked), play classic Atari video games or sit on the front or back porches and watch the elk, deer, bears, foxes, coyotes, wild turkeys, rabbits, hummingbirds etc. that are frequently seen on the property.
If you want to hike, this is the location for you. You can hike into Rocky Mountain National Park along the picturesque boulder strewn Big Thompson River and be in the Moraine Park area (prime fishing and elk viewing area) in about 15 minutes (accessed through the corner of the YMCA property). You can also hike along Glacier Creek for more fishing and beautiful trails. The YMCA has numerous trails where mountain biking is allowed. We are close to quite a few restaurants, shopping, horseback riding, fishing, miniature golf and all that Estes has to offer on Highway 66 (Tunnel Rd) into downtown Estes.

The home was lovely. Had everything we needed. We had elk in both front and back of the place each day. Easy check in and so close to all the things we wanted.
This cabin was perfect. My family enjoyed this cozy cabin with games , movies and the wonderful view. They had pretty much everything you need to spend a few days.
The cabin was cozy, even in the negative temperatures. The location was beautiful and quiet, and we were able to go to the RMNP daily to play in the snow and explore. The stairs were a little treacherous and shaky, but that would be my only complaint. Great little A-frame
The house was very cute and convenient for getting to Rocky Mountain National Park. The house had plenty of space for my family of 4 and was very clean. The only part my daughter didn't like was the spiral stair case, it was steep but in the listing so not a surprise.
We stayed with 2 adults and 2 teens. The property was a great location for us. We visited the national park and it was close to that and the town of Estes. The inside had a good amount of space. It is obvious that it has not been updated in quite a while but is clean. It gave us a good amount of space. Good space in the kitchen to spread out. Hosts were responsive to questions.
My husband and I stayed for 4 days with our adult son and his girlfriend. The house was clean, and well equipped. Beds were really comfortable. The washer and dryer were really nice to have. The location was fabulous. I would not recommend this cabin for a 2 couple romantic getaway. There aren’t real doors on the bedrooms, and you can hear a person in the next room whispering.LOL
This A frame had everything our family needed for a comfortable stay. The couches are worn, but everything else was well kept for an older home. It felt clean and comfortable. The spiral stairs are a bit challenging if you are tall and with the younger kids but are sturdy and needed for this space.
The owner was very responsive with my questions and very knowledgeable of the area. The location is wonderful and peaceful. I would definitively recommend this space!
Clean A-frame cabin. Perfect location for all our adventures from hiking up in RMNP to shopping and eating and fishing in Estes and white water rafting to watching wild life from the cabin. Love this little cabin. Made lots of memories with my family. We will definitely come back. Only two minor corrections need to be made to the cabin: needs new screens on sliders and new window covers on the upstairs master bedroom.. nothing major and again looking forward to booking this cabin again
I was not comfortable with the fact that just anyone could see straight into the bedroom. Those blinds really need to be replaced. This was our first time flying into a rental and I wasn’t fully packed with all necessities. However, I’ve never needed all that I have Brought with me either. Here we didn’t have one extra trash bag, one dishwasher pod or even one load of laundry detergent that we were supposed to use to wash our towels. Either the owner should spend the money to make it better or the renter should spend their money somewhere else. There was wildlife in the yard on several occasions.

We were there mid-September, so towards the end of "tourist" season and enjoyed our stay.
That being said, we tightened the door handle. There were massive cobwebs and bugs around the door near the ceiling. We learned the people in charge don't actually go on the property after each guest. A cleaning crew takes care of it, who might not take as much pride in it?! We were able to get ahold of the managers during our stay. :)
We took advantage of the kitchen, which was lacking simple seasonings (salt and pepper) and tinfoil for cooking.
The furniture was very used, saggy, and not comfortable. The twin size pullout bed mattress was like laying directly on metal springs. Unless it is updated, it should not be offered as a bedding option!
There was plenty of hot water for 5 of us to get through the shower, one right after the other! :)
We could not find access to the water that was on the other side of the road without going into Estes Park. You could hear it! We did see wildlife (mule deer and a bobcat) every morning and evening.
There is not much privacy. The doors to the bedrooms upstairs were screens and a little see through. The walls don't even go all the way to the ceiling. The blinds were missing multiple slats and one bedroom window had no blinds and there are other houses near by!
We did enjoy our time, but want to give an accurate description of our experience.
Thank you.
We stayed three nights and absolutely loved it. The first night there we saw a bobcat roaming around around the neighbor's home, which was so cool. We also had many elk, deer, and rabbits in our yard. There were 3 small snags, but overall, it was a perfect stay. The 3 snags:
-The sliding screen doors are very finicky and easily jump off the track, so you have to fumble with it sometimes.
-The blinds are also pretty old and will fall off with just the slightest touch.
-When we tried watching Netflix on the TV, it ran INCREDIBLY slow (not the internet, but the TV itself). It ended up totally freezing up on us, then after a while, the screen just went black and automatically did a factory reset. We decided not to fumble with it anymore. This wasn't a huge deal for us since we were so busy running around during the day.
Overall, this is the perfect little cabin to be close to nature while having the convenience of being a few minutes from RMNP and downtown Estes Park.
This cute property is in a great location-- close enough to town and Rocky Mountain National Park to be convenient, but far enough away to be quiet and secluded. Check in was wonderfully easy. The kitchen is big enough and well appointed to cook full meals for a family. There were some snags that made our stay more difficult. One screen door was finicky and difficult to operate. The upstairs screen door was completely off and leaning against the wall. This made airflow upstairs challenging, which was important since the unit has no A/C (would have been fine with the cool mountain evenings if there was airflow). There were several blinds missing. We ran out of toilet paper part way through the stay, although the owner was responsive and brought some by. The property also ran out of laundry supplies although I was eventually able to find them in a supplemental storage unit. Overall we enjoyed our time in the mountains and at this unit but some of these small things would have made it better.

Serviceable, but needs TLC
The location of this property is IDEAL as it is very close to the park entrance and it is quiet. Our sons LOVED the spiral staircase. The A-frame has so much cuteness potential, but it needs some TLC.
When we pulled up, the grass/weeds had grown high, and it was clear that the yard had not been addressed in some time, so the first impression wasn't excellent. The interior needs deep cleaning. Most major surfaces were clean, but the nooks and crannies had dust, dirt, spiderwebs, and many places needed fresh paint. There were also some issues with bugs. My husband woke up in the night to a large moth on his face, and we killed multiple moths and spiders during our stay. There is also a strong musty smell, which is concerning for guests who have allergies.
This place is great if you are looking for a place to sleep with a bathroom and kitchen. It worked for us, but we probably wouldn't repeat.
We had a wonderful time! The host was very helpful and responsive. The cabin was well equipped and had plenty of games for the kids. We saw Elk and Mule deer outside the cabin every day which was the highlight of our trip. We would definitely come back to visit again!
Great location, host always responded promptly, didn’t have any issues with any of the appliances and thought it was very cozy. Very close to the park and easy to get in and out of there.
