The house was stunning and incredibly clean. It’s a quiet neighborhood with peaceful views from the porch. A few things to note: 1.The home is not air conditioned. We arrived during a particularly hot weekend and the house temp was 90 degrees. We contacted Atlantic Vacations who were initially unable to do anything until the following day. However, after speaking with Vrbo, they were able to have two window units sent over that night that we installed. We put these in the two upstairs bedrooms, which made the heat a bit more bearable. However, the rest of the house was still in the high 80s the rest of the weekend. Not sure if those AC units are staying permanently, but double check with the hosts if you’re coming during a hot week. 2. There is no swimming access from the house. Some houses on the block have docks, but this one does not. The closest place to swim is about a 10-15 min walk down the road. 3.Lastly, there are limited parking spots in the driveway/ on the street. We had two cars that we were able to fit in the driveway, but it was a tight squeeze. Highly recommend carpooling if you’re coming in a big group. Overall, we had a great time and really enjoyed being in beautiful Essex!
