Pathetic scammers

Don't bother with this place. Riad Gloria unofficially cancelled our reservation hours after it had been confirmed saying they could not confirm the reservation as they had changed from a queen bed set up to a twin bed set up. Twin beds would have been fine. We had travelled from Marrakech to Essaouira in that time before they sent the email. Upon arrival they wouldn't even open the door, answer the phone or respond to an email. Someone upstairs just closed the curtain and ignored us. Extremely rude and incompetent even though we had paid to stay there. And over a week later I have not been refunded as Riad Gloria won't even answer correspondence from Hotels.com. Extremely pathetic customer service service and I urge you not to waste your time with these scammers.

Excellent.

A simple riad right in the Medina. You don't get flat screen TVs and mini bars but you do get a comfy clean bed, a simple breakfast and a warm welcome from the owner as well as a great location to explore Essauoira from. For the money paid, this is an absolute bargain. It is not 5 star luxury but if you just want a bed for the night you really can't go wrong

Great stay!

The owner was really kind and warmly welcomed us into the riad. He even provided us with a map of the area and gave us tips on where we could go. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom is really spacious and lovely as well! We had an early bus to catch the next morning, and the owner was happy to provide us with breakfast really early in the morning. Thank you for the nice stay! :)
