Sad to say that despite the enticing photographs, this place did not meet my expectations, especially given the cost of the stay. The staff were delightful (although they charged us excessive amounts of money for a bottle of water, and then claimed money for them to take a taxi to check out bus timetables when in fact they rode their bike there and back) but the hotel itself was pretty shabby and the facilities were non-existent. ##### Verified traveller Stayed 3 nights in Mar 2019 ### 8/10 Good #### Lo, Brooklyn, NY 29 Oct 2018 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service Hannan at the front desk and the other women on staff are so welcoming and helpful. Hannan gave us a very good explanation of the city and medina. The location of the hotel is really perfect, so close to everything. It was only a 5 minute walk to the Medina and less than 1 minute to the beach. There were a few downsides to our stay however. Our room had an awful, musty smell. We could not escape it, even with the windows open. It seeped into our clothing and every time we came back into the room, it would overwhelm us. The heating/air conditioning unit did not work and the door knob fell off our door. The pool was also moldy and uninviting.
