Ennis Hotel Guide - Wedding Hotels in Ennis, Clare

Nice hotel. Great location! Staff friendly and helpful.

Staff at hotel was helpful and friendly, but you can't do miracles with old installations. Everything was clean and functional, but does not seem to have been refreshed since the early 80's. Ugly brown ceramic in bathrooms of bedroom, old tube television, old counters, bath and shower fixtures. Bed was hard and pillows flat as pancakes. Chairs in dining room were very uncomfortable and staff was completely overwhelmed by having a full Room for breakfast (tour bus all eating at once, so we (and others) had to wait while they cleared and hastily cleaned the tables. Buffet breakfast was very basic and running out of stuff after bus people left. If you do stay there, I recommend you eat out in Ennis, there are a few nice restaurants there

The hotel has a nice gym and pool as well as a popular bar. It is a fifteen minute walk into Ennis from the hotel

We had hoped to stay here as our base our first two days in Ireland, but it was booked. I was lucky enough to book a room for our last night before heading to Shannon the next morning for our departing flight. We loved the old world charm with modern amenities. It was elegant without being stuffy and we loved the location right in the heart of Ennis. We also enjoyed having the Poet's Corner right there in the hotel and enjoyed traditional music there one night. We plan to book way in advance the next trip and use it as our base for at least three nights...one was just not enough!
