There is a smell of mold in the room. The shared bath was not clean. The futons are very thin as well. The communal toilet slippers were disgustingly dirty, and no other slippers inside the hotel were provided (you walk on very old carpets and floors in the hotel hallways barefooted). There were no large towels in the room, and they were not offered, we had to ask about them. The breakfast was Ok, nothing spectacular. While this is a traditional Japanese hotel (ryokan), which often have thin walls and a shared bathroom, we have stayed in much cleaner and quiter places many times before.
