The apartment we stayed in offered the ability to be able to fix our own meals, sleep in comfort and be walking distance from a multi-flavor soft ice cream shop. We were from 2 hours away. Visited the Benezette Elk Center as well as some of the Elk viewing areas (though we didn't expect to see any, as it was the wrong time of day and season). We also took a short hike. The drive took close to an hour from the Hilltop Hideaway. Although we didn't realize it would be that long of a drive, the scenery was exquisite. We heard the area described as "Endless mountains". Beautiful!!! We're happy to have had the opportunity to visit this quaint town tucked in the middle of the mountains. ##### Nannette K. Lady bugs were all over the living room. No laundry basket to place used towels. Grass outside was a foot high, fire pit was at the top of a hill out behind building and couldn't use.
