Welcome to Deer River Retreat, a peaceful waterfront cabin rental in Ellijay, Georgia, located inside the popular Coosawattee River Resort. Overlooking the beautiful Coosawattee River, this cozy North Georgia getaway is perfect for guests looking for a relaxing riverfront escape, couples' retreat, fishing trip, tubing getaway, or quiet mountain vacation close to downtown Ellijay.
With two king bedrooms located on separate floors, Deer River Retreat is an excellent choice for couples traveling together or guests who want extra privacy. The covered back porch overlooking the river is one of the cabin's favorite features, offering the perfect place to sip your morning coffee, listen to the rushing water, watch for wildlife, or unwind after a day of exploring the North Georgia mountains.

Inside, the living room features two comfortable sofas, a 42-inch flat-screen TV, DVD player, gas log fireplace, and beautiful views of the river. The main-level king bedroom includes back porch access, a 32-inch TV, a jetted bathtub, and a walk-in shower. Upstairs, the second king bedroom offers a 32-inch TV, private bathroom with tub/shower combo, and its own private balcony overlooking the river.
The spacious loft adds even more room to relax and play, featuring a brand-new pool table, dart board, and board games for indoor entertainment.
As part of Coosawattee River Resort, authorized groups of up to 8 guests can enjoy resort amenities at no additional cost, including the Recreation Center with an indoor Olympic-size heated pool, exercise room, arcade room, tennis courts, basketball courts, putt-putt golf, picnic areas throughout the resort, and three outdoor swimming pools during the summer season. Please note that amenities are subject to availability and may vary during your stay. Mountain Oasis Cabin Rentals does not control resort amenity closures, and no refunds should be expected if one or more amenities are unavailable. None of our cabins are within walking distance to the Recreation Center; depending on the cabin's location, it may be approximately a 2- to 15-minute drive.

All of our cabin rentals are fully furnished and include a minimum of the following unless otherwise stated in the listing:

Fully equipped kitchen: Refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, glassware, utensils, cutlery, pots, and pans

Linens for each bed, (2) bath towels (1) hand towel (1) wash cloth per person listed on reservation, dressers or closets for clothing storage, central heat and air, vacuum and/or broom and dust pan, mop, cable or satellite TV, internet, telephone for local calls.

In addition we provide a complimentary start-up supplies of: Toilet Tissue (2 rolls per bathroom), Paper Towels, (1 roll), Garbage Bags (2-3 bags) , Dishwasher Detergent (1-2 loads) Laundry Detergent (1 load), and Dish Washing Soap (mini bottle).

Many of our cabins include more than this basic list of inventory items.

The only items you'll need to bring will be food, beverages, and condiments.

Required Fees - (Cleaning, Processing and Damage Insurance) 15% lodging tax added to all reservations

Guests staying at Coosawattee River Resort Properties are welcome to use the community amenities at no additional cost to guests. Guests understand and agree that all rules of the resort providing the amenities will be adhered to. Guest also understands that Mountain Oasis is not responsible for any closures of any amenity during their stay regardless of the reason.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO THE CABIN ARE E-MAILED TO YOU 7 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL IF YOUR RESERVATION HAS BEEN UPDATED WITH YOUR GUEST LIST AND WE HAVE RECEIVED A COPY OF YOUR DRIVERS LICENSE.

PLEASE NOTE: Last minute reservations (14 days prior to check in) will be required to check in at the Mountain Oasis office prior to 5pm, Mon-Fri unless previous arrangements are made in advance. Reservations made after 5pm for same day check in are NOT allowed.
