La Qhia Eco Retreat

La Qhia Eco Retreat

10/10 Excellent
"This is a beautiful property but remember it is somewhat rustic. The neighborhood roosters make sure to wake you. The rooms are comfortable and with the mountain air and ceiling fan you don’t miss AC. Free breakfast was tasty. Dinner was good but lunch is not available. The best part is the well maintained landscaping. We were fortunate to have a peaceful rainy day that was heaven on the covered patio with hammocks. The staff is friendly & helpful."

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to El Pantano?
The best time to visit El Pantano, Veraguas, Panama, is during the dry season, which typically runs from December to April.

This period offers pleasant weather with less humidity and sunshine, making it ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the region. You'll find it comfortable for outdoor activities like hiking, birdwatching, and enjoying the beaches. The roads are also in better condition during these months, making travel around the area more straightforward.

For those looking to enjoy water-based activities like snorkelling, diving, or surfing, the dry season generally provides calmer waters and better visibility. This makes it a prime time for couples or solo travellers seeking adventure and relaxation by the coast.

If you're planning a trip focused on wildlife viewing, particularly for spotting migratory birds, the dry season is also an excellent choice as many species are more active and visible.
