We really liked Alto Verde Hosteria. The room was comfortable and it has a good location. You can walk everywhere easily. We got daily breakfast that was great to start the day before going on our tours, even in early morning hours. Mrs. Lilia was wonderful and super friendly. I would recommend Alto Verde Hosteria.

The hotel is a little far from the center of town; not too bad, ~10 min walk, but a little isolated. The hotel itself is just okay. Very friendly staff, just an older building with minimal amenities.

I really loved stayed in Alto Verde Hostería, mainly due to kindness of the personnel (propietarios). Very convenient to stay close to El Calafate downtown and two blocks from the Argentina’s Lake at the same time. Very close from good restaurants such La Lechuza. You can walk to Letras EL Calafate. Overall, great staying…!!!

This hosteria was suitable for our family of five. We had two rooms that were comfortable and clean. Breakfast included was standard with coffee, toast, ham and cheeses. Location is in more residential area but close enough to walk to main tourist area if you don't mind a walk. Also close to Lagoon Nimez and restaurants El Cucharon and La Catina which are worth checking out!

Above and Beyond

This was the perfect spot for a three-night stay in El Calafate. It was just a few blocks off the main drag which makes it quiet and less busy, and just a few blocks from the lakefront and Laguna Nimez. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful and went above and beyond to assist us with a flight ticketing issue that we had. Highly recommend for your stay in El Calafate.

Good location but then the town is small anyway, very limited breakfast, internet wasn't working and we mentioned, they said its due to storm though when we went out to closeby restaurant there was no issues with internet there, only one small mirror in bathroom, no blankets - felt cold in the night but there was nobody at reception to help.

Small, uninspiring hotel. Walking distance to town. A disappointing stay based on the reviews. It is a basic small hotel. No charm, nothing to recommend it. Front desk staff speak NO English. Only stayed one night as it was not what we had hoped it would be. Unable to cancel second night. There are better hotels at the same price.

Estoy completamente satisfecha con mi estancia. La atención del personal excelente. Los servicios recibidos y las instalaciones permitió que la estancia fiera muy cómoda. Tuvieron la gentileza de ofrecernos una habitación más cómoda. Cabe mencionar que de mi parte hubo un error en la reserva y aún así tuvieron la consideración de darme la mejor solución para permitir que mi estancia siguiera siendo agradable. Pousada encantadora, porém um pouco longe do centro, mas nada que uns 15 minutos de caminhada não resolva. Não espere luxo de hotel, mas você terá um atendimento humano e um charme local. Café é servido individualmente mas tem tudo que se precisa. Depois do susto inicial, ficou uma saudade e uma vontade de voltar lá, valeu pelo charme e pela experiência diferente. Se tiver o espírito aberto você vai gostar.
