"We had a pleasant stay at the Harbour Hotel. The room was a good size, clean and had plenty of power sockets, which was very convenient. The shower was excellent, with strong water pressure. The bathroom, however, felt quite dated. The sink was very small, making it difficult to fill the kettle directly from the tap, and there was no side lamp in the room. We also found that water came out of the shower tray despite the shower having an enclosure. Breakfast was good, with a good selection of gluten-free options available, which was much appreciated. Overall, a comfortable stay, although the bathroom could benefit from some updating and a few practical improvements."

"A really impressive building - we’ve passed by before and always hoped to stay here. The building is quirky and has so much going for it… probably several £££ million to bring it up to 4* standards, but the staff were super friendly and the room we were assigned was brilliant and had lovely views over the port. Also accommodated for our dog which was really appreciated. The restaurant served a great dinner too and the Scottish breakfast gave us a cracking start on our onward journey. Thank you !"

"Lovely location, room enough for 2 people and had everything we needed. Sitting onside looking over the waters to Bute was very peaceful, had a very relaxing week. Hosts were available if needed but did not intrude. Only suggestion would be to swop out tv for a freely Internet TV as Internet very good on the premises and existing TV not good for reliableconsistent reception got no signal quite often in the evenings."

"I fell in love with this property as soon as I went in. It is in need of some TLC, some bits and pieces are a bit tired looking. That being said, I found it really comfortable with gorgeous views and very peaceful. Campbell, the host, was easy to communicate with, nothing was to much trouble. This was my first visit and hopefully won't be my last. I would love to return."
