Eifel Vacation Packages
From Eifel, it's roughly 50 miles (80 kilometers) to the north to Cologne and 90 miles (145 kilometers) to the east to Frankfurt.
Of course, limiting yourself to only one place, no matter how popular, usually only offers you a narrow window into the broader textures and qualities of a region. So try to allow a few days to savour Rhineland-Palatinate's other cultural and natural attractions. If you're keen to explore more of the region, you'll find Biersdorf am See, 19 miles (31 kilometers) to the northeast, and Kaltenborn 19 miles (31 kilometers) to the southwest.
When you come to Eifel, why not experience Trier. Approximately 35 miles (56 kilometers) away, this regional city is where you'll find Rhineland Museum, Fell Exhibition Slate Mine and Cathedral of Trier (Trierer Dom). Church of Our Lady (Liebfrauenkirche) and Black Gate are just a sample of the other attractions on offer here.
Rhineland-Palatinate is a great destination for those with an interest in open-air museums and farms. Faith is a fascinating aspect of every place's make-up, so spend a little time in the area's churches and other important religious sites.
When it gets cold, go to the Eifel area. Rug up and have a go at the sports on offer here. Try snowboarding or skiing. If you enjoy the company of folk who share your passions, this region has plenty of specialized activities such as winery tours, city walking tours and segway tours.
As your adventures here draw to a close, spend what's left of your euros on last-minute keepsakes and bid a fond Tschüss (farewell) to the interesting people you've met and the places you've enjoyed.
