"Hoewel de reservatie door Expedia volledig mis was gelopen en er dus eigenlijk geen kamer gereserveerd was, is er alles aan gedaan om te zorgen dat we toch nog konden overnachten. Zeker na een wandeling van 20 km was dit erg welkom."

"My room was compact, but for a single traveller it was ideal. The room was modern and comfortable. Staff were always on hand and we're friendly without exception. The breakfast was very good, and the position of the dining room overlooking the river and Triel's Roman bridge made it special"

"Although located a little out of town the location is very pleasant and quiet. Housekeeping is very good. I rented a bike in town for my stay and there is secure parking in the garage to keep it. To bike to town is about 10 minutes; walking 25 but busses are very frequent."

I enjoyed a very relaxing night here after a long trip. The surrounding area is quiet. With beautiful surrounding views. The owners were extremely welcoming, and my evening meal and breakfast in the morning was excellent. I wish the owners and there family every success for the future.

Great sauna. Nice, spacious room. Very nice dinner and nice to be right by the park, although at night it seems like there are some dodgy people around there.

MOTORCYCLE ROAD TRIP
Parking available in an open courtyard near the main entrance which is out-of-site.
Positives: Very comfortable bed, quiet location, excellent shower, big towels, free coffee machine in lobby, fantastic air con, superb breakfast, BBC News on TV and only a 15 minute walk over the Roman bridge into the old town.
Negatives: no lift - but not really an issue.
No bar or restaurant - but a Snack Hut across the road.
Would I return - absolutely yes.

From our arrival, we were made to feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner and staff of this delightful hotel - a real gem and a well-kept secret! As two gay men travelling together, initial reception is always a concern, but we were welcomed wholeheartedly and treated extremely well throughout our stay. Rooms were large, well equipped and all had superb views over the surrounding beautiful countryside. Breakfast was substantial, with choices to suit all tastes. We chose to...
