We had unit #8-- up 4 flights of stairs with no elevator. Halls and steps were pretty dirty. Garbage containers for bars in the area below- dumped in the middle of the nite & was a noisy bar area. NO welcoming intro--No instructions as to the small TV, or Washer-dryer- found out the dryer was probably broken a maintenance man said. The livingroom- not at all like the photos- had 1 love seat-not 2 as shown, and a table and 4 chairs. Bathroom-had no outlets, no instructions on how to use shower- a switch outside the door to turn it on- temp fluctuated & no toilet plunger-- 4 towels provided for a 5 day stay, and the towel rack was not well attached. Kitchen-- sparse- no dishrags, 1 hand towel, small garbage bins. Bedroom had no closets to hang anything, bed was a king it was ok, flat pillows, paint/plaster was cracked. If you needed assistance the Joivy phone # provided took a long time to get back to you. Location was good- easy to get food and to the buses. Plan for a lot of walking & steps in Edinburgh. 2 of us were there for 5 days in August- peek tourist time so the prices were what I would expect for a 5+ star hotel not this apt.

Perfect location and great apartment

Our stay at the Rose st apartment was fabulous. The location was great. So close to everything. We walked everywhere! The local pubs were great for local comfort food. It was lovely to stay in a whole apartment with room to chill. Everything was super clean and the little details like a welcome treat box were a friendly touch. The instructions with (photos) for getting there and getting in, for using hot water and appliances were very clear and helpful. I couldn't get the washing machine door to close so we ended up having to do laundry elsewhere. Being the weekend i couldnt contact anyone about it. We didnt use the hob or oven. Decent wifi. Comfortable sofa and bed. Nice shower. Hell, a king sized bed when i was expecting a full/double was a huge bonus.

This place is not only spacious but perfectly central to Edinburgh. Walking distance to history, great pubs and shopping. The only issue we had is the blinds in the bedroom were so sheer the sun woke us up at 4am, the dark blinds were in the living room - if those get swapped this would be a perfect stay !

Lejligheden ligger centralt, men i en lille meget kedelig sidegade. Kommer man før kan aflevere bagagen i en lille butik nær ved. Husk book og betal i særlig app. Lejligheden var kold da vi ankom og vi fik aldrig varmt vand i vandhaner i køkken og badeværelset. Bruser havde egen vandvarmer. Dette til trods var det en hyggelig lejlighed og vi nød opholdet.
