Beautiful location, very clean room. Great view of the Moselle river and the surrounding spectacular landscape. Great dining and breakfast. Unfortunately we did not dine at the nicely set up white-linen Restaurant except breakfast. We were unaware (or did not read the fine prints) that we should have called ahead if we are arriving after 6 PM on the first night of check-in. We arrived late due to late start from Frankfurt. But the owners were kind enough to check us in. The only major draw back for us was the cigarette smoke which constantly made its way into the room and the hallway. Even though the owners assured us every room was a non-smoking room and a no-smoking sticker was on each room, a strong cigarette smoke from elsewhere in the building made it into our room and the hallway. I am very sensitive to the smoke and had a hard time with it. This rooms are great for smokers, but not really so good for people who dislike cigarette smoke and are with respiratory problems. The owners need to look into the smoke problem and remove the source of it. Other than that, it is a great place to stay.
