For a 100+ year old lodge the room was clean and bed was very comfortable. The employees were friendly and helpful. We found several comfortable places to sit and enjoy our surroundings.

Loved the lodge! The food in restaurant was excellent as were the cocktails! Bed was comfortable. Wish the restroom was bigger with wider shower.

Restaurant prices were rather pricey. Hotel is gorgeous. Rooms in the older section were nice and a fan was provided since there is no a/c. Staff very accommodating.

This is a great place for a historical experience! It’s definitely rustic! No air conditioning and very small rooms and bathrooms, but we enjoyed our stay here! It was fun to learn about the glacier park history!

We had a great stay here. It is a beautiful historic and rustic hotel and we felt well taken care of by the friendly staff. Be aware there is no air conditioning in the rooms but a fan is available for your use. It was so refreshing being in a room where you could open the window and get fresh air. I would definitely stay here again.

Rooms are very small, bathroom very small poorly maintained shower not clean by house keeper. No elevators and lots of stairs we were on the third floor. They do have bell boys to take your luggage to your rooms. Hotel it's self is beautiful and historical. The grounds are also very beautiful.

The hotel was very beautiful, and the gift shop had a great selection of souvenirs and other items. I was expecting more from the $25 breakfast. It was pretty basic, and for what you get, I think it should be included in the room rate. My room was clean and comfortable, but the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been renovated in over 30 years. The soundproofing could also use some serious improvement—I could hear everything the couple next door was gossiping about!

It was a great experience staying at a hundred plus years old hotel with so much character and history. The lobby is just breathtaking, you just have to see it to experience it. Of course, the room is very dated ( they may have recently renovated rooms) with creaking floors and the shower is so small, not is hard to move while taking shower. The grounds are fantastic and the Amtrak station is short walk, if you are a train enthusiast (go there in the evening around 7:30 pm for the Empire Builder train).

I stayed here 50 years ago, and not much has changed, which pleased me and my family. The property was very well maintained, and the original charm still existed. As we knew , no AC was available, but we had 2 box fans and cool nights. I was most impressed by the little gift basket and hand signed card by the staff on my birthday.

This lodge was impressive in so many ways. The construction and history along with the beautiful grounds and open green space was awesome to say the least. It does not have elevators or television and I felt like it took me back in time.

This is an iconic lodge with great proximity to the east side of Glacier. Beautiful setting. Rooms are small and outdated…and bed is way too soft, but fine for an overnight stay. Box fan in room but not an extension cord. Food was excellent and friendly staff

This is a beautiful property with well maintained landscaping and historic lobby. It is over 100 years old and to see the large tree trunks and logs used to build it was grand. All around is breathtaking views. However, the room we had was disappointing. I realize we are paying for the historic factor and views but our bathroom was so small. There was a step up to get in the bathroom and you could hardly turn around in the shower. No air and limited WiFi we could only get when we sat by the front desk, no tv. Even though it was built in 1913, this is 2026 and it would be nice to have better amenities for the price you pay to stay there.

My family of 4 adults spent one night in one room in order to hike Two Medicine lake area and travel to St Mary Entrance to Glacier NP the next day. Keep in mind it is a rustic lodge with historic charm. The rooms provide essentials and are comfortable. No air conditioning but the august night was cool and a fan was available. All staff members were friendly and helpful. We spent a couple hours in the lobby before check in due to storms. Kids borrowed a board game from the front desk. Adults hung out by the fireplace. We ate lunch and dinner on site and enjoyed the food. Live musical artist in the lobby for a couple hours. We enjoyed hiking nearby. Overall, we would saty there again.

The lobby is the highlight of this hotel. With huge pine trunks that support the entire lobby roof that is three stories tall. We also had a very good dinner in the dining room and they have a handy coffee bar in the morning for breakfast sandwiches, donuts, pastries, and coffee. The views from the balcony of the mountains in Glacier national Park is grand.

This is a beautiful property with lots of history. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed having the lounge to eat in vs the restaurant. The coffee shop was great in the morning and the gift shop stayed open late. There were several cons that would make me hesitate to stay here again. Primarily the rooms. They need major updating. Specifically the bathrooms. Ours was so small we had to keep all of our toiletries outside the bathroom. You couldn’t really wash your face in the sink. The shower was so small you were up against the sides of the wall and the curtain and could not reach over to wash your feet. Luckily we only stayed one night. If you plan on dinner in the dining room, be there ahead of opening. At 7:30 there was still a 45 minute wait, so we ate at the lounge. If you are staying in the second building, you can pull around back to park. They never told us that and it would have been much easier with our luggage.

This beautiful historic lodge was such a special experience! The common areas are warm and inviting. Sit in the comfy chairs in front of the fireplace, listen to live music in the evenings. We enjoyed lounging on a rainy day. A guest sat at the piano and played, an unexpected treat. History abounds in the photos and info boards throughout the lobby lounge, so informative! The souvenir shop had quality gifts and mementos. Wanda, the woman at Information was outstanding! So helpful and friendly! While we loved the common areas, beware, this is an old historic lodge and there is no elevator! We carried our bags to the 3rd floor. Rooms are very small and bathrooms even smaller. The sink is tiny, you can't really turn around in the shower. If you like being pampered, this is not for you! The lodge location is fabulous for access to the east park, and well worth the stay. I would do it again. Being prepared for the experience makes it better.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. However, the bathrooms desperately need upgraded and offer no counter space. The mattresses are very uncomfortable. The dining room was very nice but very overpriced for the food received. It is also difficult to have no mini fridge or microwave if you don’t plan ahead or want to pay the high food prices as the lodge.

The property is a grand property built during early times that lacks certain amenities that modern travelers expect. For instance, no elevators. Our room was very small and hadn't been updated. It was clean, though; the corridor was quiet. The setting is relaxing and invites the hurried traveler to slow down, enjoy conversation or a game of cards, read a book, or surf the internet. The staff is numerous, knowledgeable, courteous and pleasant. It is near to Glacier National Park, and across from the East Glacier Park Amtrack station.
