Amazing stay. Bathrooms could have been cleaner - I blame the guests that just left towels or paper towels on the floor! Tents were perfect, beds super comfy! Wood burning stove was terrific. I'd absolutely stay again!!
The tent accommodations were really nice and unique. Bed comfortable. There are train tracks close by that go through the area several times a night. Wish I would’ve known that ahead of time.
We spent three nights there with friends in a second tent. We’ve “glamped” before in Tanzania so knew what to expect. What set this place apart was the staff. Josh and his team were amazingly helpful and always there when we needed something.
I would highly recommend. This type of lodging really enhanced our Glacier experience.
Showers and bathrooms on property, they also had a nice common area to relax in hammocks and toast (free) s’mores. The check in tent also has snacks and coffee and small things. The room with the shower and toilet was great. Shower got surprisingly warm. Also had a fire burning option to heat up tent which was effective. Beds were comfortable and plenty of blankets to keep warm
We enjoyed our stay, particularly sitting around the fire rings meeting nice people from all over and sharing smores and stories ,
Location was very convenient to Glacier Np and the cafe was convenient.
What a beautiful place to stay, so cozy! The staff were all incredibly helpful and kind and the onsite food options were great after a long day in the park! Loved our stay here!
Really cool site. Shared bathrooms were very clean, staff was helpful, fire pit and s’mores was cool. Only complaint would be the trains that go quite frequently throughout the night.
We loved our stay at Under Canvas! It was the perfect place to rest after our days of exploring the amazing Glacier National Park. We would love to come back sometime!
The camp and tents are very well built and done. The staff was fabulous, helpful, available, friendly. The only issue we had was the proximity of the road and train tracks….
Scott and staff were amazing. Helpful and accommodating every step of the way. Great experience that I would recommend to those wanting to not got with the traditional cabin or hotel room. Remember that you’re next to a main highway and train line, so the morning noise is there. Ear plugs provided. Last note is the food from their little food but was out of this world. I did the frittata for breakfast and buffalo BBQ bowl for dinner. Five stars for both. Thanks to Scott and team for a great experience. Highly recommend this one.
We loved our stay at Hotel Under Canvas-Glacier. The staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere they created was very special. Our only complaint was the location. Being right next to the highway and near the train, there was very loud noise constantly, which took away from the ambiance of the "glamping" experience. Ear plugs (which were provided on site) were a must while sleeping.
We have stayed at Under Canvas in Zion and absolutely loved that experience. Because of that wonderful experience, we were looking forward to the Glacier location. The Glacier staff were all wonderful. It was clean and all was great. But the location was a let down, especially being right off the highway and next to a train track. I just can’t understand the location for a glamping experience being right off the hwy. We had high hopes based on Zion’s setup where the lobby, restaurant and community area were all centralized together. The set up at glacier was separated and felt disjointed. I sadly would not recommend this location. Although I loved the staff and the tent overall was great… the overall experience did not live up to our expectation.
Beautiful property, attentive and friendly staff. Comfortable tents. Food options somewhat limited compared to other Under Canvas properties. Sleep was interrupted by the train horns.
This is a stunning campsite, beautifully maintained. Our tent was wonderful and every detail was taken care of. The lodge was stylish, as were all the firepits and hammocks. The nearby road and railway are noisy, but they provide earbuds for the nights. If this is representative of all Under Canvas campsites, I would go back in a heartbeat.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Canvas was a unique experience. Only negative was the noise from traffic and train. Earplugs were provided if you wanted them. Ember Cafe had good food with friendly service
Great place. Glamping vibe 100! Cute canvas tent. Clean bathrooms. Plenty of firewood. Make sure your electronic devices are charged as you will not have any power and their charging devices are hit and miss. Staff was great. Was raining hard the whole time but the fire inside the tent kept us warm. Super fun and romantic. Showers only stay on if you keep pumping the nozzle but def a glamping vibe. Recommend this place but come prepared for the experience.
The experience was pure camping. I honestly was expecting a few more amenities. We did reserve the tents with the ensuite bathroom and would only recommend that option as it's can be a long walk to the facilities. I was surprised that there was no electric in the campsites nor wi-fi. The shower in the tents can go from scalding to ice in a millisecond. The water is by pull chain and not just running waster. While this is perfectly acceptable for some - It was a bit unexpected of us. We have visited the AUTOCAMP at Yosemite and was expecting the same type situation. If you're looking to go camping and don't want to bring your own tent - this place is IDEAL.
The tent was clean and stocked with firewood. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
We just got back from staying here ( 9/1 - 9/5 ) and here's what I've found from my stay-
The location is right off the highway, and extremely close to the railroad so you definitely hear cars and the train frequently. The staff was pretty amazing and very helpful and often checked in via text to reassure me if I needed anything to just shoot them a text and they'd be there.
You're pretty close to other tents so if you plan to try to get to bed early don't count on it, you hear EVERYTHING! We got woken up every night by what I think is a smoke alarm, it started around 2am or 4am and went on for a good couple minutes, I informed staff our second night there and it seemed they listened but didn't really care to check on it.
The wood burning stove keeps your tent really warm but we had to feed it about every hour, that includes overnight so we set an alarm and woke up frequently. Safe to say we never slept all the way through the night. I'm sure this isn't a big deal during the summer but early September nights got colder than we expected. The tents were better than expected and didn't have any issues with bugs or wildlife. That being said you cannot keep food in your tent and aren't supposed to have any food in the tents at all. We resorted to keeping snacks in our car which isn't a big deal but got old fast. Our tent had a full bathroom and the toilet had full plumbing which was great! Again the staff was great but if you want a peaceful place to rest this isn't it.
Was a great stay! The staff was great, grounds were well maintained including the shared restrooms and showers.
Great option for us flying in to get a bit of the camping vibe without packing all of the "stuff"!
