Great very off the beaten track, fantastic views. A quiet night sleep. You need to read up on the resort and what it is about, before you arrive. It was a shame we could only book for a single night. The region has plenty of walking and activities 2 or 3 nights would have been perfect.

Well equipped and comfortable studio apartment with good outlook over the garden to the bay. As an older couple we found the split level flooring a bit awkward to manoeuvre our way over and space was a bit tight on each side of the bed. Despite these unusual features we loved staying at the apartment and observing the local wildlife.

The hotel is a bit dated but clean and very comfy. They double charged me (I paid hotels.co.uk upon booking and then they charged me again upon arrival.) I am awaiting their reply and refund, so if they do the right thing and refund me, then all is fine. If not, I will be taking further action. A note to others - there is no cell phone reception and no wifi, but the peace and quiet is very nice.

The hotel was a lovely old building. My room was huge with a seperate lounge area. The breakfast was great.

I loved the Dorset Hotel, it had everything you could want, a great food and drink menu (I can highly recommend their whisky selection!) immaculate clean bedrooms, smoking hot water and friendly knowledgeable staff. I was immediately made to feel welcome, and, as a solo traveller, to feel like one of the gang. Being in Derby it’s in a perfect location to access all manner of interests and activities both on the doorstep and further afield. Would have loved to have extended my stay here were it...
