"This was our third time at Grand Bavaro Princess and this time we went there as a family with our young daughter. The property is beautiful. The nature and beauty of the place is unbeatable. In terms of food, there seems to be lots of options but it does get very repetitive. Unfortunately my husband and daughter had food poisoning on the 3rd day of our stay and that pretty much ruined the rest of the holiday. It was also difficult trying to get them some bland food to the room. I wanted to take plain rice to the room and the restaurant made it a big deal saying that they usually do not allow food to be taken away. I explained that my husband and daughter are sick with food poisoning and what do they expect me to do. After this I was reluctantly given a container to take back some rice. The language barrier doesn't help either! However, as I said, the property itself is absolutely beautiful. The rooms need some updates and better cleaning but once you step outside it is gorgeous."
