Mountain Top Perch is tucked inside a handcrafted timber frame home nestled amongst the trees, this cozy perch overlooking the Haliburton Highlands is waiting for you. It has striking views, a kitchenette and the tranquility with convenience of being so close to town. Whether you're here to hike, explore the lakes, for work or an event, this quiet woodland getaway is here for you to relax. Come enjoy the wildlife, admire the stunning sunsets, starlit nights and watch our moody storms from above.
THE PROPERTY
We built our Discovery Dream Home in 2023, completed 2024. Our home features incredible timber frame with a breathtaking view of the Haliburton Highlands. It has the luxury of feeling like you are secluded in the woods yet minutes from downtown Haliburton. You can enjoy exploring our 7 acres or simply lounge on the lawn.
Our home is just a 3 minute drive or a 12min walk from downtown Haliburton and all the shops, less than 5km from the nearest snowmobile/ ATV trails and ~20 minutes to the local ski hill, Sir Sam’s Ski/Ride, and golf courses. Most of anything you need is within a 30 minute drive of our home.
If you are staying with us during winter months, with STRONGLY recommend you have winter tires and are comfortable driving in winter conditions on hills. Our driveway is up/down a hill that is maintained regularly.
THE APARTMENT
The apartment has its own private entrance accessed by a lit path from the Guest Parking (fits 2 cars). You have a private patio to enjoy the view of Head Lake.
Within our cozy calm suite, you’ll find everything to help you feel at home away from home. Cozy up on the couch with some blankets or set some ambiance with the lighting for a delicious meal. It is a 1 bedroom with a Queen Bed + full bathroom with ensuite laundry. You will have full access to our Starlink internet and can enjoy central air conditioning/heat for your comfort. The kitchenette has everything you’d need to cook a full meal. It includes a sink, under counter fridge and freezer, convection oven, countertop electric elements, kettle, coffee maker & french press, blender, crockpot and toaster.

Our Bernese Mountain Dog, Charlie, loves anyone that will pet him and is always down for play dates if you are travelling with your furry friend(s).
