Our 1,700 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath Crimson Cliff townhome (Unit 55) is situated near the Animas River just 4 miles north of downtown Durango and 25 miles from Durango Mountain Resort (25 minutes). This home offers an ideal location with incomparable views of the Animas River Valley, and immediate access to the resort area without having to drive through town to get to trails, national forest land and the ski area. The Durango Trolley stops right in front of the home every 20 minutes making it convenient to get downtown without having to drive or park. The main living space features a gas fireplace as well as a 50" 4K flat screen TV and Blue Ray DVD Player. Each bedroom features a deck as well as AC (May - Oct). The Crimson Cliff complex includes a private park with sand volleyball court, playground equipment, nine-hole mini-golf, small pond, fire pit and a gravel walking track around the large lawn. Bed Configuration: Master Bedroom - King with TV and Ensuite Bath (3rd Floor) 2nd Bedroom - Queen (3rd Floor) 3rd - Bunk Beds (Single over Double) (3rd Floor) Please note all bedrooms require stairs and the townhome is not pet friendly, so please do not bring your pets or emotional support animals. I grew up in the area as well as my children in their younger years, so the opportunity to return to see my son graduate from FLC was a heartfelt and sentimental experience. I purposefully looked for a place to stay that would fit all six of us comfortably as well as be close to town, and this property fit the bill perfectly! It was a quiet, peaceful area, close enough to make quick runs to the grocery store or go out to restaurants in the area, and of course a hop, skip, and a jump to the college. The bedrooms were comfortable, the living space roomy, and the kitchen had everything we needed for fixing meals. The cameras were pointing straight into the unit that we were in, lights and all. They were not there the first night, but with the power cord attached and strung out across the balcony propped up on a chair. It was really weird and irritating to be honest. My husband wanted to go knock on his door but I was able to talk him down. Not good for business if you ask me other than that we loved the city of Durango and the townhouse was comfortable. It was clean and communication was great! It is close to the highway and you will be sleeping with windows open in the summer due to no A/C, but with windows closed, you can’t hear the highway. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we had a very nice time in a comfortable home. Four things we'd like to mention: 1\. The carpet needs to be restretched throughout the home. Someone is going to catch a heel on one of the bumps and have a fall. 2\. The bunkbed room had no electricity. 3\. Condo HSA does not allow outside grilling. 4\. Did not realize there were 16 steps up to the main level and then 16 more to the bedrooms. My fault for not looking closely at the pictures. Again, enjoyed our stay! Very convenient to downtown Durango but on the north side of town, making it easier to get to Purgatory Ski Resort. The property was exactly as advertised. It was very clean and tidy upon arrival. The kitchen was well stocked with what it needed for cooking your own meals. Especially with Covid-19 restrictions on all restaurants in town, having the necessary tools to prepare your own meals is very important. The natural gas plumbed grill was a nice surprise and was used often. Overall a great place to stay and relax in Durango. Recommend it to anybody toting their kiddos on vacation in Southern Colorado! ##### Dave C. Property management was very responsive when we had questions. Condo was spacious and clean. The fans were helpful as we missed that there was no AC. Only issue with opening windows was the neighbor smoking on his balcony, and we didn't want the smoke smell getting into the condo. None of this was the fault of the property owner.
