About this property

Classic Kiwi Bach with a modern touch

  • Warm and comfortable, the bach is well insulated, well heated and has a modern kitchen. A major renovation in July 2024 added a second bathroom and upgraded the existing bathroom. You're only 2 minutes walk from one of New Zealand's most beautiful beaches and a 15 minute drive from central Dunedin.

    We are pet friendly and the property is well fenced so your dog will be safe to roam around the lawn.

    Ocean View beach is one of Dunedin's best kept secrets. We lived in Dunedin for 14 years before we discovered it in 2004 and we've lived here ever since. Seven kilometres of beautiful white sand just 15 minutes drive from the centre of Dunedin. The weather is usually better than in the city with average temperature about 2 degrees warmer. The beach is often fairly deserted so don't be surprised if you're the only human in sight. If you're lucky, you might get to meet some other visitors as we often see sea lions on the beach and fur seals and penguins on the rocks near Brighton.
