"For a hostel it is a good choice, although we were there during off season and it was incredibly noisy. I can only imagine it during peak season. The reception staff were friendly and helpful but the cleaners and security guy were noisy at all hours. The onsite restaurant was awful, we had one meal and never ate there again. Thankfully the hostel is in a perfect location, on the most beautiful beach with lots of nice places to eat and drink nearby."

New Year’s Eve event was horrible, most of the things promised didn’t happen & food left a lot to desire for. Overall not a world class 3 star resort even. "Casa Vina is tucked into the Barangay, Bucana, in the fisherman’s town - about a 40 minute drive from El Nido airport. Upon arrival I was immediately met by the hosts and luckily during my visit, Ramil was also visiting. I was shown the property including breakfast loft and my room. The room itself is cozy with AC and a TV. The daily breakfast is served on the upper deck and can be provided with an adjusted timeline. The family hangs out in the morning awaiting a glimmer of light from your room and spring into action to get breakfast together for you. The grounds are just a few steps from the ocean bay where local children playfully frolic. I’m forever indebted to Ramil and the Gutierrez Family for hosting me. They helped me secure transportation to multiple destinations (thanks Mon-Mon) and even helped me book the island hopping tours. They are respectful of your privacy. I would love to stay here again in the future."
