This was a nice stay while passing through Dubois. The staff could not have been nicer and they are trying hard to please their customers. Looks like they are installing new air conditioning in all the units and trying to make some nice upgrades.
Know what you signed up for first to establish expectations, and then this place is excellent! This is a small motel on the Wind Creel River in a very small, old mining town in the high desert. The buildings are old it is a little obvious. Thats the only negative thing I can say. The room was very clean, full satellite TV, comfy bed and it is actually right on the river with a lovely viewing deck that makes a great spot for morning coffee. Also, the rooms have coffee makers. The gentleman who owns the place is so kind and helpful. The Lonely Buffalo and Rustic Pine Tavern are in walking distance, Yellowstone and Jackson are each 90 minutes away. My wife and I will be returning.
Called ahead, stayed open for checking and provided a snack for the family knowing that everything else around town was closed

Liked: Staff & service
Arrived late in evening. When we took off shoes floor was wet from leaking portable air conditioner. When we got up in morning half the floor we was wet and couldn’t walk on without shoe. No rooms to move to so they got the floor taken care of while we returned from our days adventure. Shower floor was extremely slippery and sloped down and shower head was pointing toward wall and couldn’t be adjusted. Curtain keep opening and got floor outside all wet. Resort needs many updates but staff was very pleasant
Rooms are clean and bed was comfortable, we stayed at the end of September and our room had NO air conditioner, so wonder what it would be like in the summer? The deck by the river is wonderful ! We give that a A++++
Very cozy and clean. Loved the short walk to shared patio and view of Snake River. Appreciated the fan in cabin since there was a heat wave and no AC. The town was quaint and quiet and enjoyed our evening and morning stroll.
The rooms are small! And don’t pay extra for the “river view”. I like the place and would stay again because of location, but it’s also the only place that wasn’t sold out…..take that for whatever it means. I think the owners let family members sleep in vacant rooms????
