Roe Valley Resort

"Roe Valley as it is now is 5 star for families and golfers. Spacious rooms, attentive staff & plenty of activities to keep youngsters occupied rain or shine. But it’s not a Spa Resort for couples just yet - although with the amount of investment and upgrading going on as part of its refurbishments I’m confident it’s going to be amazing for everyone to rival its partner hotel the Galgorm. That said, we had 4 wonderful days there exploring the Causeway coast for which it’s perfectly situated, and the Fratellis evening meals were delicious and good value. The breakfast was off the scale amazing so other than some adult only spaces & a rethink of the bedroom storage space we can’t fault our stay here."
The Garden Rooms @ Drumagosker Rural Retreats

"The property itself was nice inside and well decorated. However we had booked the property base on the fact we wanted a hot tub and this was listed in the amenities. Once we arrived it became apparent there was not a hot tub. The host did respond to the message quickly. The hot tub is in fact a seperate business based on the site which is only available at weekends but not the weekend we were there. I feel this should be clarified in the listing and had we known it wasnt going to be available we probably would have booked elsewhere (especially for the price charged). There was other small issues like a drippy tap in kitchen (mentioned by others in guest book previously) a vase of dead flowers in the living space then the chimney seemed to be blocked or not clear when we attempted to light the log burner. These were all small isues and we probably would have overlooked but combined with the hot tub issue it kind of left us disappointed with property."

The River Bann Retreat

"Nice place. Miss the personal welcome, it makes a difference. We received a blank check-in email and had no one to help or even a number to call. Thankfully they responded quickly to the email help request so we received our full check in details without too much delay. Some cleaning issues eg mould in shower. Poor quality gowns, bleach stains on them and no gown belts, poor quality towels. Both things fairly tatty. We booked for 2 adults and two children - the apartment was only set up for 2 in the double bed. Sofa bed bedding left on the floor. They provided only 3 towels, and not enough shower gel. Hot tub was lovely, too hot initially so we waited to cool it, then it was cut off at midnight - really disappointing as we had had to wait for it to cool then got about 10 minutes in it!! Thought the open fire was great, but nothing to light the fire had been provided and there was not enough firewood. Overall it’s a good spot, good location and great potential but definitely improvements needed. Wouldn’t categorize it as luxury glamping due to the points highlighted."
