"It’s never a good start to a stay when you have to call down for maintenance within 60 seconds of walking into a room. The Mercure used to be about quality. Those days are gone. Whilst the sheets were clean, the room was stuffy which made sleep hard, the bathroom had clearly not been cleaned, tea and coffee hadn’t been restocked and the place had an air about it that it was passed its prime. The bed was so uncomfortable. The staff were friendly and polite. If looking for cbd accommodation there are better alternatives. I won’t be coming back."
