The staff was very helpful in all aspects of our stay, starting with directions to tourist sites, taxi orders, tour orders, tango show recommendation and order (that was the best tango show and dinner),and unlimited assistance with air tickets when our flight was cancelled twice. Thank you very much for your incredible service!!

The location of the hotel was excellent overlooking Avenida 9 de Julio and it's impressive 18 lanes of traffic ( 9 Lanes per side) We have visited Buenos Aires 9 years ago it was a much cleaner city. Now the famous Calle Florida was full of holes, which is a shame,it is a pedestrian area only. The other streets also looked in sad shape.Security was good.on most street corners there were police. The major complaint is about the dishonest taxi drivers.Upon arriving by ship,we had to take a taxi to the hotel. At leaving the harbour terminal a women stood there and asked where people wanted to go.and she directed passengers to the waiting lines of taxis.Upon showing her the hotel address she said 400.00 pesos
which had to be paid to her, after which we entered the taxi.Only later at the hotel we found out from the hotel staff the the normal taxi fare would have been at the most 150.00 pesos.Later as we inquired at the hotel about getting to the airport for our homebound flight.(9 years ago we took an airconditioned bus, which still costs only about 240.00 pesos for two persons.) However the hotel recommended that instead of taking a taxi to the bus company and the bus,it is less costly to take a taxi which they promptly arranged for. When the "Taxi" arrived it had no meter and did not look like a taxi but we were assured it is.At the hotel I was told it is about 410.00 pesos to the airport which is about 40 km away. The driver took us through some of the less desirable areas.

A little gem in an excellent location. Close to restaurants and many places of interest. Close also for Yellow city bus tours. Breakfasts were excellent for very little cost. Staff were friendly and helpful and organised various tours for us which were excellent as well.

Quick check-in with the voucher. Rooms are clean and functional. Breakfast is good. Not a luxury hotel. Focus is on cleaningness and simplicity. Family friendly. Rooms facing Esmeralda street on the five lower floors may notice some street noise, but is not a problem.
Pocket Guide: Buenos Aires Downtown Buenos Aires Hotels
Key landmarks ring Plaza de Mayo, including the Casa Rosada presidential palace, Catedral Metropolitana de Buenos Aires, city hall, and the financial district. The city never sleeps along Calle Florida and Avenida Corrientes. With its many theaters, Corrientes is akin to New York’s Broadway or London’s Strand. Nearby, Puerto Madero’s waterside warehouses are now residential lofts and businesses.
