Very good but not perfect. Lovely interior to the hotel. The room was very nice but was let down by breakfast. Was not on par with the price of the room which we paid £148. Premier inn do a better quality breakfast for half the price. Would stay again if breakfast was improved.

With acres of unspoilt countryside and miles of beautiful beaches, Dorset is an ideal county to visit if you're a fan of the Great Outdoors. While the jewel in the crown must be the Jurassic Heritage Coast, there's plenty for fitness fans to get involved with, from sporting attractions, to hotels with their own gymnasiums and leisure facilities. Booking into an adventure sport hotel in Bournemouth can put you within easy access of your favourite sporting attraction or give you the convenience of having all the equipment you need on-site. There's a wide range to choose from, from unpretentious B&Bs and guest houses to impressive, state-of-the-art hotels.

Water Sports: Hotels Near Portland Harbour

Portland Harbour has the honour of being the second-largest man-made harbour on the planet. Despite being something of an attraction in itself, it offers plenty for fans of water sports, including kitesurfing, sailboarding and diving. There are also numerous activities around the harbour designed to get your heart-rate up, such as horse-riding and some excellent climbing routes. The Heights Hotel is just a stone's throw from the harbour, giving you easy access to a whole host of activities combined with the facility to relax in sumptuous surroundings at the end of the day.

Adventure Sport Hotels With Onsite Facilities

However, it might be that you simply want to keep up your fitness routine, whilst enjoying the sights and landmarks packed within Dorset's borders. The Hotel Collingwood is just one of a number of Dorset adventure sport hotels that has all the necessaries to help you keep in trim. In addition to its own heated swimming pool, the Hotel Collingwood also has a fitness suite including a full-size snooker table and a table-tennis room for those who like their ball-games a little less sedate.

Keeping The Family Fit

Sporting breaks aren't just for grown-ups and Dorset has plenty of challenging and exciting things to see and do for younger sporting enthusiasts too. From paintballing in Dorchester to abseiling in Bournemouth, you're never far from a family-centric, sporting challenge. You'll find a wide range of family-friendly adventure sports hotels in Dorset, adding extra convenience to your time away.

With plenty to keep the whole family up and running, booking an adventure sport hotel in Dorset is the best way to make the most of your visit to this stunning part of England.
