Lovely little place ideal for single person or couple, though could take more. Denise was an excellent host, very good communication and left a range of helpful supplies. Quiet rural location - well situated for exploring the area around. I would happily stay again.
Nice quiet location. Welcome pack of fresh produce appreciated. Everything needed for a short break. Access problems for some people. For example. the stairs to the gallery bedroom very narrow and steep. To go up and down need to stoop and are unable to stand in the gallery bedroom. We are fairly fit 60 plus adults and found it difficult so anyone with mobility problems might struggle. There is a single bed downstairs. Overall a place for a short break.
A perfect place for two in a pretty village with plenty to explore nearby.
This was a perfect place to stay for the two of us. It was even better than the pictures. The owner was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. She left us lots of treats and basic supplies which were over and above what you would expect and saved us having to dash to a shop. The pretty outdoor area has an undercover part that was perfect for shade and a private part that has two sun loungers, a table and chairs. It has countryside views and was very peaceful. I especially enjoyed relaxing and reading in the garden. The owner had 2 friendly sheep in an extension to her garden which were just over the fence. It is a very pretty village with thatched cottages. It is a 5 minute walk to a farm shop and petrol station with basic groceries. The village was a brilliant base for exploring the area. There was plenty to do within a short drive. We particularly enjoyed Lulworth Cove and then walking on the cliffs to the left where there is a fossilized forest. We found plenty of interesting walks and there are lots of reasonably priced pubs for food. We had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend it.
