"Serene property. Really appreciated opening the windows the whole way, and we never even got a bug in the room after leaving it open the whole night! So so nice, and extraordinary staff"

"I chose this hotel specifically because it was supposed to be the only one with an early-morning shuttle to the airport. They said the shuttle bus comes every 15-20 min. maximum. But I waited 25 minutes, and the only shuttle that showed up during that time refused to take three new passengers (even though four had gotten off). I ended up walking from the Doubletree to the airport terminal - it's not a bad walk; flat and about ten minutes. But still, it was annoying."

"Lovely hotel. Well situated. The staff are amazing and so helpful. The beds were super comfy. Only let down was the food. Fish and chips tasteless and everything else covered in chillies. Upside was we did mention this and was immediately refunded half the cost of our meal. Special mention to the bar manager. He was extremely polite and helpful. Would definitely stay again, but would eat out."

"We loved our 6 night stay. It was convenient to be near Ocean Terminal for the bus line and pharmacy/coffee. The elevator and a/c were the reason we chose this hotel, and worked perfectly. The path along the water was beautiful. Breakfast was hot and a great way to start our day."

"We knew that an Ibis budget hotel would be modest. It was as billed, bed,toilet shower and all worked. Because of a room shortage in greater Edinburgh, rack rates for even mimimal lodgings such as Ibis are somewhat eye watering. For the amount of money we paid we had hoped for more; larger room; parking; included breakfast. We had none of that. We shan't be back."
