2/10 Terrible
"Upon checking in, the front desk and front area was relatively clean. Had a nice smell, and the lady working was very friendly.
They even allowed us to check in a couple hours early.
The parking lot is very spacious and the location is great. Very close to the downtown square area, shopping and local restaurants.
Our room was next to the outdoor pool. Which looked immaculate, like it was maybe just redone? It was very large, clean and on the backside of the building. So there was a lot of privacy.
Upon entering our room, everything was very dingy. Very outdated, most of the furniture and other items were pretty beat up and scratched up. Towel racks we're barely hanging on the wall. The toilet seat was completely not connected to the toilet, and there was some type of splatter on the walls. We checked the bedding and mattress. It was clean and no signs of bedbugs. We only needed somewhere to sleep that night, So we didn't worry about the condition of the room. We left and went about our day.
Upon returning that night, and entering our room. It was infested with roaches. They were all over the floor, walls, sink. Everywhere! I don't say this to exaggerate. There were hundreds!
I went to the front desk. Explain what was happening, and that we could not stay. She was very apologetic, explained that they've been working on trying to update and clean the hotel. Said she would gladly approve for a refund.
I would not recommend this place. Staff was very friendly though."
"Staff was very friendly and helpful. Check in/out was fast and convenient. Carpet in room was filthy and room had an odor. Other areas of facility and room were clean."
"Waited 30 minutes for staff to check in no one came so we left to go eat dinner. Came back and waited 5 minutes for staff to come out of office to check in. Pool was closed ( one reason we booked). Breakfast was ok. Muffins were hard, eggs bland so breakfast was ok. Shower pressure sucked! Room was nice and comfortable but got hot in middle of night."
"This place was amazing. The owners, the caretakers of the place and the main guy King(the dog). He was very pleasant and friendly and would visit us and hang out for a while. The cabin is very nice and the property is so peaceful. You can go for a walk and practice being mindful of world around you and be in tune with Gods creations. I highly recommend this place to vacation."
"Older hotel, well maintained… Staff was super friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend if you ever have a reason to stay near Camden, you stay here!"
"Paid for an handicap accessible room was only offered a regular room yet handicap rooms went vacant during tge stay.
No breakfast offered.
No television available outside 3 channels.
Upon checkin the bathroom had not been fully cleaned.
I have spent several nights here over the last 6 years; however, overall experience keeps going downhill. "
"The hotel is obviously an older property, however it has been recently updated. The hotel was clean, quiet, and met all of our needs perfectly. We had no problems at the location, it was a good experience.
We have family in the area that we travel to see a few times a year. We will continue to use this hotel in years to come."
