Mäcky Baude

We bought the Mäcky Baude in 2018 and completely renovated it. It combines modern living standards with the cosy charm of a traditional mountain cabin. The Mäcky Baude features two separate bedrooms, a hallway leading to an adjoining living area with a sleeper sofa, a kitchen with a cosy seating area, and a bathroom with a shower, toilet, sink, and washing machine. The cabin is heated by a fully automatic pellet stove. Even when it rains, the covered patio allows you to comfortably barbecue and dine outdoors, and wind down the day with a good glass of wine or a bottle of Radeberger beer. The parking space is right next to the house and covered by a carport.

Our little village of Dönschten is located in the beautiful Ore Mountains, near Schmiedeberg. It’s situated peacefully in a valley. The surrounding area offers plenty of opportunities for sports and cultural activities. The winter sports options are also excellent. The proximity to Dresden and the Czech Republic makes for many great day trips. Even Saxon Switzerland is just a 35-minute drive away. The luge and bobsleigh track is a 10-minute drive away, making it easy to attend the numerous competitions. On days when the weather is bad, you can take advantage of the extensive wellness facilities at the Raupennest in Altenberg. Thanks to two bus stops in Dönschten, the town itself and the surrounding area are also easily accessible by public transport.
