"This hotel is so unique. It’s a place to stay if you are interested in Spanish history and would like to stay somewhere that honors the past. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable about the pazo’s history both of the family that owned it and general history of the area. "It is a pleasure to write a review of Casa das Capelas. It is a large and beautiful, fully renovated, historical building, set in lovely grounds. My excellent room looked out over rolling countryside. So peaceful. And the owners were extremely hospitable. There is a great patio to have a glass of wine, meet a few locals and eat a light dinner. Highly recommended. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in the area."

"Really cute town, with a selection of restaurants to choose from. It felt very tranquil and calm and the accomodation was huge, we had accidentally booked a 2 bed apartment for two of us but it was affordable and a great stay!"

"The hotel is situated in a converted historic monastery in a commanding position above the town and is quite unique. My wife and I had a very enjoyable one-night stay here as part of a driving tour of Galicia, finding it very clean and comfortable with good levels of service. The only issue we had was that as my wife is confined to a wheelchair with only one leg, we could only access the hotel via a back tradesman’s entrance and service lift as the disabled lift at the front door was not working, which was very disappointing."
