The country house is the ideal retreat for two people who want to switch off for a while and like to enjoy nature.
The country house is a detached house, in the vicinity of which there is only another house. Surrounded by high-quality interiors and a spacious garden, you can relax here. The next town is 4 km away. A high wall with a gate shields the building complex from the street. There are various seating options in the garden (in summer, among other things, Hammocks) to withdraw. The proximity to the mountains and world-famous sights enables guests to enjoy a diverse sports and cultural program.
Dießen am Ammersee is 7 km away and easily accessible by bike.
The nearest bakery is in Rott, 4 km away.

Otherwise, the country house stands in a clearing in the forest, which is crossed by numerous forest roads and hiking trails. Therefore, the house is the ideal starting point for bike tours, hikes, walks, etc.
Many day trips are also possible due to the proximity to the mountains and other lakes: for example to Murnau am Staffelsee, Oberammergau, Garmisch-Partenkirchen or Füssen.
Abtsried is a unique place to switch off quickly. The two listed houses are relics of the summer residence of the Wessobrunn abbots from the 17th Century. The old structure can still be admired in the shape of the cross vault.
Abtsried lies in a clearing in the nature reserve and forms an oasis of calm that is second to none. In addition to the tranquility, the location has other advantages. Abtsried is the ideal starting point for walks in the forest, extensive bike tours, trips to the nearby Ammersee or tours in the mountains.
House rule:
Since Abtsried is located in the middle of a nature reserve, visitors can expect a really beautiful environment. You automatically behave a bit more respectfully towards nature.
The waste water in this hamlet is cleaned in a plant bed treatment plant!
For us and all guests this means:
Do not use toxic chemicals!
Do not throw wet wipes etc. in the toilet!
Do not dispose of oil in the waste water!
Avoid wasting electricity!

No external day guests allowed.
No additional overnight guests allowed.

House regulations:
Abtsried is located in the middle of a nature protection area! The wastewater treatment works biologically and the two houses have also their own power and warm water production.
That means for us and every guest:
Do not use bleach or other toxic chemicals that can harm the environment!
Do not throw wet wipes etc. into the toilet!
Do not flush down oil the waste pipe!
Be aware of your power usage!
