During summer season the number of guests on the island rises to the thousands. The little primary school holds 20 students from year 1 through year 9. Earlier people mainly lived for what the Baltic Sea had to offer but today there's only one professional fisherman left. For visitors there are two youth hostels and at least one guesthouse, a couple of B&B and restaurants. You travel easily to the island from Stockholm and it's a 3 hour beautiful boat trip through the lovely archipelago. I felt safe, the room was quiet, and the technology for entering the hotel and my room were great. I liked the heated bathroom floor as well. The location is fantastic since it's just a 10-minute walk from the Stockholmsmässan venue.
