"Superb stay in extremely comfortable B&B. Exceptional welcome and local advice with directions. Perfect for overnight stop en route N or S ,a pity really to write that, as out of winter it would be great with family, as they have a large garden , garden room with self cooking facilities. Also top class restaurants in pretty villages, a short drive away( but not walk). "

The grocery store in the little town of Saint-Didier-sur-Chalaronne has everything you can wish for, even a nice Fish Department. "Beautiful property and grounds. Dog friendly. Had ample parking including electric car charging. We stayed in a duplex room which is in a separate building right next to the main chateau, only seconds away so not far to walk. The room was clean, spacious and had a good size bathroom which is always a plus. Nice little patio looking out towards the pool (or gardens if you are on the other side). Breakfast was very good, lots of choice including bread, pastries, cold meats, eggs, muesli, yogurts...

"Nice reception and breakfast areas, but room dated and worn, with mould on windows. More often than not only cold water in shower. Could really need a renovation. Breakfast fine, but perhaps a bit overpriced for what you get. Staff polite and friendly, but not overly helpful. Location in Fleurie is excellent. If rooms were properly renovated, this would be a good choice. "
