Pure luxury, and such amazing surroundings! The staff were amazing and the whole experience was just beautiful.

Rooms clean, excellent showers. Air conditioning worked well in all the rooms, keeping a constant temperature. Swimming pool very useful. Had to use towels from room to go to pool 😟, unless you paid extra for replacements. All in all though great find, and location was perfect to head out to Pisa via the train.

The property is reaslly nice with large spacious rooms. The hotel is located in a very peaceful remote location with stunning views. The pool was really nice, but could do with some heating and it would be nice if there was a small fitness centre on-site. There was a limited lunch menu based on being so remote. Dinner was great, but a very small restaurant. The couple managing the hotel were really friendly

Amazing hotel and staff. This was by far the most special hotel we stayed in during our week travelling around Tuscany. The hotel is situated just outside Lucca and is beautifully maintained with lovely rooms and a truly beautiful garden with swimming pool. But what really sets this hotel apart are the owners and the staff, who can't do enough to help and are incredibly personable. Beautiful hotel, amazing facilities, nestled in the most beautiful place in the world... Tuscany

This was a real gem. I had a single room but the bed was bigger than a regular single bed and was very comfy too. The facilities in the room were excellent and classy, including a shower that had a fine array of options and was switched on by a remote control, a first for me! Breakfast was in a lovely room and the table settings were, again, very classy. The host was gracious and accommodating including setting breakfast for me early on the day I left. All in all, I recommend highly.

Such a beautiful property and host. The building is spectacular and romantic. The garden breakfast setting is peaceful. Guilietta was incredibly helpful. Would love to return one day. Highly recommend if you’re in to romantic historic buildings and exceptional hosts.

A stunning property. This was our favourite stay over a 4 week holiday and is a place to truly relax. We weren’t sure at time of booking if it was too far off the beaten track but booked it for the promise of a view, and it certainly did not disappoint. The view from the pool and breakfast area is truly spectacular, and whilst the location is away from the main tourist sites, it’s very peaceful and still well within reach of Siena, San Gimignano etc for a daytrip by car. Real care has been taken...

Exceptional hotel. Very big rooms at good price

Good: nice seawater pool, private clean beach, excellent breakfast, kettle in room. Thermal pool was good. Not many children but ours were welcomed. Would recommend it Bad: reception staff unable to advise on local day trips, did not know much about local towns, you have to research yourself.
