"This was not a good hotel. Its one of the most expensive and a 5 star in Portofino. Extremely small room and no view. The floor was almost not to walk on if you dont want to wake up everyone in the room and below our room. The other Eight hotel in Parragi beach is much better. They have a fantastic view and a nice beach outside. Its free transports (5 min)between the hotel so next time we will pick this hotel and then go to Portofino with the transport in nice cars. " Very nice hotel, loved the location and the view off of our terrace. Staff was always very friendly and helpful and wanted to help in any way. The pool was an excellent place to cool off and take in the view as well. I loved the Santa Margherita location because it was close to Portofino, and Rapallo and the ferry was a very nice way to get to both places. The Cinque Terre was the reason we came to this region and honestly, a full day there was enough. It’s about an hour train ride away. The beach water looked clearer at CT, but the hotel had a beach available in the sea, vs the harbor at SM. SM was a big little town and quaint. I enjoyed the hotel and would definitely stay there again. "
