Palazzo Rosaria Boutique Hotel

"The location is amazing with close proximity to all the monuments and events. I enjoyed our stay here and breakfast is very good and it’s a good value for money. I would be a bit concerned about the noise cleaning other rooms early in the morning as well as the common areas and waking up the guests. Otherwise it’s quiet and we had a back room. The cleaning this is a good and the mattress is comfortable. The staff is very friendly and polite. The building is maintained, but needs better ventilation because of smells from the kitchen as well as from the sewage."

"Courtyard rooms have minimal windows being an older building but not an issue, nice roof terrace with a small pool, good facilities at sister hotel too. Good location with 5-10 minute walk to centre of Valletta and bars / restaurants. Staff very helpful and attentive. Breakfast fairly standard but all good."

"This hotel is in a good location, close to the centre of Valletta and opposite a good restaurant, the Balzunetta. Hotel has excellent, professional and helpful staff. Our room was a Deluxe Double with Maltese Balcony, whilst reasonably nice with a good TV and great bed, it was a little small. Further, certain small things in the hotel caused small issues e.g.: The room is overlooked, despite this no net curtains or blinds on window so when showering etc the curtains had to be shut which made the room dark. The hotel provided hair dryer in the room had a plug that did not fit the sockets. Reception provided an adapter but this did not work and it was 3 hairdryers and several trips to the reception before the issue was sorted (staff where excellent and did best to resolve issue). 2 safes in room but no instructions. Over the years my wife and I have used safes hundreds of times so we tried the standard method of setting it up. Did not work, hard to get reception to unlock. They reset but again later would not unlock. Seemed to be a very complex system. Thunderstorm with very heavy rain whilst we where staying. The Maltese balcony leaked a bit and because the room was not big and we had a case in that area it got a bit wet. Breakfast was a bit basic and there is no toaster. Also the little sweet pastries always seemed stale. However, also good things, quaint little pool, reasonable little gym, a vending machine and free coffee, biscuits and water 24/7. We enjoyed our stay."

"We had an inner room and for a busy city centre location it was SO quiet. The room and bed were comfortable, fridge and coffee maker, iron + board all provided. The 5th floor roof terrace for breakfast and complimentary snacks 6-8pm was lovely, we were disappointed we couldn’t access at other times. Staff very friendly and helpful, bus info, advice on trips etc. The breakfast included local dishes as well as cereal, fruit, eggs etc. Only downside no “ordinary” / non Maltese fresh coffee (not instant) available."

Housed in a beautiful historic building, this hotel combines old-world elegance with impeccable cleanliness, outstanding service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast à la carte is fantastic, the building is stunning, and everything is beautifully maintained. But what really makes this hotel stand out is the staff. Every member of the team is friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to making your stay special. When we needed help finding a doctor, they were incredibly helpful and supportive. That kind of personal care makes all the difference, especially when you’re away from home. You can find beautiful buildings and lovely breakfasts in many places, but it’s the people who turn a good hotel into an exceptional experience. Domus Zamittello gets this absolutely right. Do yourself a favor and stay here! It is worth every penny, and we would return without hesitation. A truly five-star experience that we can wholeheartedly recommend."
