The reception and staff were excellent and this hotel deserves its high review rating. Plenty of secure parking which is a must for me. There is a restaurant on site for continental breakfast and main meals but we did not use so not able to rate. The location means transport is required but it should be mentioned there are excellent cycle paths adjacent to the road. Hotels.com gave no options to reserve and the listing details say nothing about reservation. There was no on road parking available. The manager kept saying it is clearly marked and I showed him it wasn't. Eventually the young lady on reception worked something out to park at the side of the hotel. That night and before we left two parking spaces remained available in the parking. So frustrating and needless stress. The room was very basic and looked nothing like the photos. Breakfast buffet was very basic and poor value for money. No gluten free or lactose free options despite messaging twice in advance. If I didn't bring my own food I would have had nothing yet still paid for breakfast!!! The coastline is beautiful but the town was lacklustre. It was not even that cheap! Go elsewhere. Paid much less for much better, overpriced and underperforming hotel. We would have left were it not for the really friendly and helpful young lady on reception. All the necessities are there, the house is beautifully decorated, with additional furniture for the terrace.
