"Our second time here and we had another great stay. The location is perfect with the beach and local shops (and a brilliant Hyper U!) nearby (all walkable!). Our dog was very secure in the garden surrounding the house and the welcome from the housekeeper was as warm and friendly as ever. No complaints again!"

"L'hébergement était parfaitement adapté pour un week-end entre amis. Il est bien rénové et bien équipé. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les nombreuses chambres et salles de bain qui permettent de ne pas "se marcher dessus". Il faut bien noter toutefois qu'il s'agit de 2 maisons séparées (une de 12 couchages et une de 4 couchages) mais elles sont dans la même cour donc pas de problème.La maison est isolée en pleine campagne donc pas de problème de bruit pour le voisinage. "Très bel appartement avec terrasse et vue sur la mer , proche de la plage . Propre en apparence mais quand j'ai fait le ménage j'ai découvert beaucoup de poussière de la graisse sur le micro onde alors que je n'avais pas cuisiné , aussi le seau du balais espagnol était rangé avec plein de sable dedans !! Surprise ! Autre surprise concernant le tarif on m'a demandé 21euros de forfait pour électricité et eau (je ne l'avais pas lu ) et pour la télévision il fallait aussi rajouter 29euros pour la...

"A very popular hotel for sure with spacious rooms, great Wifi, and a lovely pool, jacuzzi, sun lounger area. The reception and staff were excellent and this hotel deserves its high review rating. Plenty of secure parking which is a must for me. There is a restaurant on site for continental breakfast and main meals but we did not use so not able to rate. The location means transport is required but it should be mentioned there are excellent cycle paths adjacent to the road. "

"We booked weeks in advance and arrived after a four hour drive to be told that we couldn't use car park because we did not reserve parking. Hotels.com gave no options to reserve and the listing details say nothing about reservation. There was no on road parking available. The manager kept saying it is clearly marked and I showed him it wasn't. Eventually the young lady on reception worked something out to park at the side of the hotel. That night and before we left two parking spaces remained available in the parking. So frustrating and needless stress. The room was very basic and looked nothing like the photos. Breakfast buffet was very basic and poor value for money. No gluten free or lactose free options despite messaging twice in advance. If I didn't bring my own food I would have had nothing yet still paid for breakfast!!! The coastline is beautiful but the town was lacklustre. It was not even that cheap! Go elsewhere. Paid much less for much better, overpriced and underperforming hotel. We would have left were it not for the really friendly and helpful young lady on reception. "

"As said in the title, first time in the Vendéé.Saint-Gilles is a typical french seaside village, which harbours all the joys one could expect from that.Perfect weather, strong tides at sea, lots of fine tiny restaurants in the village.Then, the house, petit as they say but o so complete for a holiday stay. All the necessities are there, the house is beautifully decorated, with additional furniture for the terrace. Located just 50 metres from the boulevard, and in with the village within walking range, it is the perfect spot for a holiday on the French coast.That said, we should mention Marylene, the owner and a perfect host.We will be back!!Regards, René & Dinie"

"The hotel was unusual in its decor however it was clean and well kept. The room was adequate with great a cleaning service. The breakfasts were well organised and everything you needed. The proprietor was an amazing man. He was pleasant helpful and helped with my French pronunciations. He had amazing sense of humour I would definitely visit again Well done "
