![My dad's friend owns a really cool karting circuit in Pageas, a few kilometres from Chalus where I grew up in France.
They are both hunters.  I know this is not everyone's cup of tea, but a lot of people from that generation in rural France do like hunting, fishing, fetching mushrooms.
There are woodlands all around the karting circuit.  My dad and his friend have built some platforms in the trees, and from mid-October to mid-November they go there every morning to shoot migrating birds.  Those ones are some sort of wood pigeons going from Eastern Europe / Russia to North Africa.

"We really enjoyed being based at this lovely accommodation to explore the region. It was lovely to come back to the property after a day spent walking and enjoying local French cuisine. It is a peaceful place ideal for relaxing with a cold beer and a nice glass of wine on the patio. "Access was great, really good! The apartment was warm and comfortable too. We did notice that the room smelled in the first 24 hours of our stay, couple quote figure out why. We did wonder if it was to do with the sink which was very slow to drain even after the tap had been on for a short time. "
