Lovely staff and service

The hotel was modern, clean, room spacious and decorated very nicely. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel very central and can walk to main sights. Only issue we had was being locked in at night - glass front doors tied together with a bike chain lock! Although security were outside, I feel this was a concern if there was a fire and felt uncomfortable with this. Otherwise would recommend

The Hill Club is an amazing place....like a real old school country club but without the arrogance! We had a really nice room. Dinner in their fantastic dining room with very attentive service. The location is an easy walk to the centre of Nuwara Eliya and not to forget their spectacular gardens!!

Fabulous eco-retreat in the rural wilderness of Sri Lanka. Loved the feel and vibe of this resort. Everyone was super friendly and we came away very relaxed after a two night stay. Unlike anywhere wise we visited on our two week trip. Recommended

We stayed at the Poomaz Peace palace for 3 nights. The accommodation is within minutes of the main street and because of the close proximity you can hear the live music each night. However the music usually does stop by 23:00. The room was spacious and clean and offers a fridge, kettle, hair dryer, soap, towels and has a shared balcony where breakfast is served each morning. We stayed for three nights. Absolutely amazing hotel. Staff were amazing and specially we need to mention our butler, Sakunthala and she was great and made our stay extremely memorable and special. Food was amazing too. We wanted to see Kandy perahara and the general manager immediately contacted the manager from queens hotel Kandy, who got us excellent seats to watch the perahara. Staff were so friendly and made our trip truly enjoyable.

We arrived at night, and on first impressions, honestly it didn't look good. We were taken down a dark steep hill, into an area where it felt like we were about to be robbed. But then around the corner our driver introduced his lovely, smiling mum, and they showed us a lovely room with two beds, and asked if we wanted a tea - to which we said yes, and asked also for food. The mother smiled agreement, the son suggested a really cheap price, and they told us food would be served in an hour. The...

Liked the 5-10 min walk into town along the rail line. Room amazing view of hills - Ella Rock, waterfall, little Adam’s peak. Lots of birds on trees from balcony and mongooses in garden. Staff helpful. Breakfast (Sri Lankan) great. Had 2 double bedded room which was large and lots of space.

the surroundings

We loved our stay. It really gave us some down time after climbing mountains and rafting. The hotel room was massive: steam room and plung pool were in the room! We had a view of the river and the room was private. Lakmal offered us excellent service. Helping me into the river and taking us on a jungle walk. He even lit candles around the pool for us as a surprise whilst we had dinner! I'd highly recommend you take alcohol and snacks as you can't get these once at the hotel. The food is nice at...

Great hide away in the jungle, i little difficult to find but worth it, amazing to wake up in the woods.
