My reason for the lower score is that our two rooms were placed in their lower end property a block away, even though the price we paid is for the main property that shows up on the photos! The lower-end property is composed of bare rooms with little decoration. They also forgot to give my parents a warm blanket in their room, so they were freezing all night! The upkeep of the building, furnishings and decorations are top notch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included and parking for 2 nights cost me 300 pesos. The parking is super convenient. On site at the front door of the property, under watchful eye of the front door staff. Our room was spacious, clean and the bed extremely comfortable. Some have mentioned lack of hot water for the shower, but we never had this issue. It could be because we shower early in the morning before other guests may be doing so, putting pressure on the hot water trying to keep up with increased demand. The area around the hotel is lively at night with many walkable dining options. The cathedral is also walking distance, approximately 10 blocks or so.
