Excellent hotel near the old town & everything within walking distance. Was here over new year. Disappointed that the bar was closed by 12.30 on New Year’s Eve. Breakfast was excellent but the plates were cold everything you would want for breakfast was there. Spa was excellent first day was so busy so we decided to go after breakfast about 9 am & in the evening about 8 was quiet. & more manageable a lot of kids in during the day. Will definitely go back here.

Good location, near a little park with a nice cafe and not too far to walk from the centre. Excellent breakfast- great variety with different diets catered for. The hot smoked salmon was amazing.

2nd visit to the hotel. Very nice, large, well appointed room. Fantastic breakfast spread, didn't have time to use the spa facilities. Hotel is in a good position for the Old Town and restaurants, also airport bus stop very close. Highly recommended.

Best hotel I have stayed at in a long time, can't find anything to complain about, just perfect!

I was very impressed with this hotel when I visited the Latvian capital earlier this year. So, when the opportunity arose for a city break in Riga just before Christmas, the Hotel Valedemars was an obvious choice for me. As with my previous visit the hotel was spotlessly clean. It is well-located, just a short walk from the Old Town and adjacent to the Art Nouveau area. However, it is the staff that really make this hotel a success - friendly, courteous and professional. Nothing was ever too...

We stayed for a night recently and I must say the facilities are great.It was downtime in Jurmala, so nothing to do outside, but hotel's spa facilities made up for that without a doubt. And a pool bar-such simple, but great idea.Staff were not smiley and slightly rude at times, but professional and helpful.The upstairs bar needs the biggest improvement, but hotel, room, recreational activities-really high standard.
