"There is no front desk on site, you have to get your key in a bar next street, despite a parking on site and an «entrance » sign… Also breakfast is served no later than 9:30 and rooms have to be returned by 10am (they accommodate 1or 2h extra) Restaurant closes super early as well… Bathroom was gross… Bed had hair in it!… Overall would def pay the extra bucks for an additional star!"

Notre hôte a eu la gentillesse de se plier à nos contraintes horaires pour servir un (excellent) petit-déjeuner avant l’heure habituelle ; et partage avec passion, érudition et générosité l’histoire du lieu et de sa lignée. "This is a well equipped new house with en-suite bath/shower rooms to every bedroom. The area is quite beautiful and we enjoyed trips into Bessines-sur-Gartempe, and all the lovely lakes around. We were seven of us for most of the time and there was plenty of room and facilities for us. Although we were happy here and had a wonderful time there were a couple of gripes. We did not find the spiral staircase that easy for access to the upstairs and particularly to take our luggage up and down. The...
