"We felt like we were alone in the jungle, full kitchen very nice bathroom separated from the bedroom. The bedroom does not have glass windows one night was a little bit warm, so please take that into consideration but overall we loved the concept. Keep in mind there's also a huge construction boom in Costa Rica so there is some street noise, can't see it, but sometimes you can hear it"

"Cabaña rústica en un lindo lugar al que hay que llegar con 4x4 por el último tramo hasta la casa. El propietario (Álvaro) fue muy amable. A la casa le hace falta algo de acondicionamiento: no dispone de agua caliente (puede hacer frío) y eché de menos que estuviera algo más acondicionada (limpieza y algún detalle adicional). El entorno muy tranquilo y bonito."

"This property is an oasis. There was fruit growing everywhere. The differences of plants and trees is like nothing we saw while in Costa Rica. Very memorable and our host was very helpful throughout the whole time we were there. FYI when they say you need 4x4 there are not joking around. We had a rental that had 4x4 and the road still made my stomach drop. Worth it if you can get to it."

"The property is absolutely gorgeous! The little Soda/restaurant Las Hermanas Huertas at the bottom of the driveway is incredible. We had a couple small things pop up, however Danny was very responsive and the people at the Soda were very helpful and accommodating. A vehicle with some ground clearance is definitely recommended for the driveway. If we are fortunate enough to travel back to Costa Rica in the future we will definitely stay here again!!!"

"We stayed here with our kids (11 and 8) for one night on our way from Osa Peninsula to SJO. We should have stayed longer! We loved hearing about the gardens and tasting the fruit and the home brew. The home cooked meal was great--definitely go for that. The house is a little ways up in the mountains; I would definitely recommend a 4x4 car and a strong constitution, but the views were breathtaking (especially early morning sunrise!). If you are coming from the south, have Todd send directions....

"We spent a month here and enjoyed every minute. Wonderful location to take day trips to waterfalls or beaches and then returning to peace and solitude. Regularly saw toucans (two kinds), hummingbirds (four kinds), coatimundi, agouti, parrots of all colors, and butterflies galore. Owner is quick to respond to questions and requests. Would definitely stay here again."

"The hotel was great. Stayed in a Signature Bungalow for 5 nights. Great location. Breakfast was good. 5 or 6 options on the menu. Good coffee, juice & water. The staff made the stay great. Especially Robert and Moy. My only complaint was the check in process we arrived from San Jose by car 3.5 hour drive. Arrived at the Hotel at 2pm, check in is 3pm. The young woman working reception told us that the bungalow was still being cleaned.. which was not true, I walked over and looked. No early check in. Unbelievable! The hotel was not booked plenty of vacancy. Slow rainy season. Reception made us wait until after 3 to check in. Never offered to take are bags and store them while we explored town. My opinion is reception needs better customer service skills/people skills. Reception is the first people you typically meet at a hotel. Further, there are sooo many places to stay in Manual Antonio. "

"The hotel is close to the Manuel Antonio National Park and the city of Quepos, therefore it offers not only the privilege of being literally at walking distance from the park and the beach, but also surrounded of tens of restaurants that combine the authentic Costa Rican cuisine with international influences. It is a wonderful place to stay while visiting the local wonders."

"Everything about our stay was excellent! The rooms were nice and clean, the grounds were beautiful and well kept, the food at the restaurant was very good, and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The reception staff helped us arrange tours and transportation, and gave us several good recommendations for places to see and eat. We would definitely stay here again."

"This is a modern hotel with huge rooms. Very comfortable. The closet is in the bathroom which is an interesting peculiarity considering that the living and sleeping area could easily have accommodated it. Safe works. The flora is austanding. "My husband and I stayed at Gaia after I found it online, and WOW- the ratings and photos didn’t even come close to preparing us for what awaited. I’ve truly never experienced a hotel like this before. From the breathtaking views to being surrounded by jungle, national park, and a macaw refuge, Gaia feels like something out of a dream. But what truly sets it apart is the people who run it. Every single staff member is attentive to every detail. It’s as if they anticipate your needs before you even realize them yourself. Our personal concierge, Catalina, made everything effortless. Alessio, our dinner waiter, and Anthony, who took care of us at breakfast, were equally wonderful, warm, thoughtful, and genuinely kind. Their care isn’t just part of their job, but it’s who they are as people. Because of them, we felt immersed in Costa Rican hospitality and culture in a way that words can’t quite capture. Catalina helped us plan amazing excursions: a guided tour of Manuel Antonio, a 90 minute couples massage on-site, and a breathtaking waterfalls tour that became one of our favorite memories. With only about 20 guests on the property, everything felt intimate and serene. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted, upgraded to a beautiful room, and made to feel at home right away. And then there’s La Luna, the on-site restaurant that completely blew us away. After trying several restaurants in the area, this was easily our favorite. Thank you Alessio for all the wonderful"
